For an expansion that have dragons infused with elements, you would think the elemental lords like Therazane, Nepulton, etc etc to show up and lock down said primalists
All Therazane have to do is control Iridikron as he’s made of stone, threat neutralize
(I have to admit there have been times I haven’t been paying as close attention to quest text as I should given my tendency to jump into brainstorming over lore)
The primalists are anti-titan and the titans imprisoned the elemental lords. If we go to the elemental lords and the primalists go to the elemental lords and we both plead our cases, it’s not entirely clear the elemental lords side with us this time.
(Maybe I’m not trusting them enough, but I’ve always felt our friendships built with the elements in Cataclysm were very, very tenuous and focused on thwarting Deathwing and then later the Legion … so I guess the question would be whether the primalists ultimately share Deathwing’s ambitions or would they also have opposed the Hour of Twilight?)
The recent transformations seem to be performed by the Incarnates or the few items Primalists are hunting, maybe there’s something hidden here on the Dragon Isles like a powerful elemental (similar to Siamat) or Titan object (similar to Hammer of Khaz’goroth)?
Why would they do that? If anything they’d side with the Primalists.
The Elemental Lords may have worked with us from time to time, but it was purely based on their interests. They’ve never been our friends and never will. They got wrecked by the Titans once, why would they have an interest in helping them solidify their hold?
Probably for everyone’s best interest the Lords stay ignorant of the events in the Dragon Isles…But who’s to say that will be the case forever? If they happen to get involved, it’d be a bit of a nightmare to handle.
Its funny to see how people want to find reason in the current storytelling after we just came out of SL.
The writers probably just forgot the elemental lords and how they would or wouldnt interact with such a conflict.
