Where are Khadgar and Thrall?

Khadgar: Idk.
Thrall: Pretty sure he lives in Outland?

The message that ‘the horde is evil, and will fall apart without Thrall’ kind of sucks. Even though I really like Thrall, I hope that isn’t what they go for.

the message isn’t “the horde falls apart without thrall” the message is “thrall is fricken epic and a central figure to warcraft and the reason lots of people play horde to begin with so he should probably be it’s face again”.

like chill, thrall is cool af and him being warchief again would be the biggest “faction pride” moment y’all keep asking for lol

As far as I can tell, the system for Warchief succession is:
The departing Warchief chooses the worst possible person to become the next Warchief.
They might want to look into that.

While I miss Thrall, I dont feel like Vol’Jin got a fair shot at the role. I’d go Vol’Jin’s Ghost for Warchief any day.

Waiting for their turn to be relevant again.

I don’t have any actual input here. Only that this statement made me think of Coca-cola.

Back in the day, Coca-cola changed their formula and released “New Coke”. Everyone hated it. Like, really hated it. So they double-backed and re-released their original formula as “Coke Classic”, which was met by huge approval and a boost in sales. And some believe this whole thing was intentional in order to manipulate sales.

Right now, we have New Coke and a lot of people don’t like it. And soon, they’ll bring back Coke Classic and pat themselves on the back.

They are both specialists.

Khadgar specializes in portals and fighting the Legion.
Thrall specializes in chatting with dirt.

Neither of them specialize in battling Undeath or the Void, which is what’s coming.

They are being held captive by Blizz with plans to sacrifice them as fodder to continue their stupid faction war narrative or something.

Man, I miss Thrall and I miss Metzen. That Blizzcon clip gave me chills.

Khadger is presumably still in Karazhan looking for ways to help heal Azeroth. I’m not sure where Thrall is but I am hoping for his return to the Horde.

Bring back our true Warchief! (this is me, the player speaking, Nerfessra supports Sylvanas 110%)

Edit with further thoughts:
That’s the ONE scenario I’d be totally okay with in regards to Sylvanas being Garrosh’d is to have Thrall come back and put on his black armor and Doomhammer and slap the you-know-what out of her for desecrating the New Horde.

We’ve already had one undead war-chief.

I may be misremembering, but I believe Khadgar said he was retreating to Karazhan to search for answers in Medivh’s library at the end of the Silithus stuff.

No idea what Thrall’s up to, though. Probably still trying very, very hard to retire.

I miss thrall

Even so, I’d rather just cut our losses and break free of this narrative. Assuming that bringing Thrall back guaranteed positive development for the Horde and we never had to have these stupid civil war stories, anyway.

While it’s certainly implying that there’s a strong possibility Thrall could return as Warchief, I don’t think this can really be considered confirmation, unfortunately. Knowing Blizzard, this is them just stringing us along.

I don’t think they had Chris Metzen – Thrall’s voice actor – cut to the front of the Q&A line and ask that question just to not deliver on it.

It’s Blizzcon… you should be used to them saying they’re going to do something and then renege on it months later.

Sure, but they spent a whole lot of time confirming that they read what the community wanted when they – enmasse – turned off their shoulders for Saurfang. Blizzard knows Sylvanas is not what the Horde wants or needs, and is properly writing her as an evil villain to be defeated and replaced.

I highly doubt they changed the ending of BFA just to appease people. They were probably already working on the ending cinematic and the new expansion cinematic by the time Blizzcon rolled around.
