I’m almost 57 and I think I have seen 4 or 5 Shamans during my travels so far. Have people jumped ship or has Shaman never been that appealing to players?
I have been seeing alot actually. I play horde with warmode on and I have seen a crap ton of blue health bars out there.
Wait until you get to 60 and run spires of ascension. You will see lots of shamans there.

As long as shamans are viewed as the squishiest class in the game, with the least defensives, they will be under played.

There is a reason the most recent census numbers had them at the second-least played class, barely above monks. Most of those census websites don’t work now, but there is little reason to believe they have changed.
