Everyone zoomed to 40, and here I am still looking for groups in SM at 36. Leveling a healer is slow and grueling. Plus I’m taking my time.
Questing as a healer sucks. Not because I can’t handle the mobs, but being on a PVP server is risky since everyone that zoomed is max level and have nothing better to do than gank people while they try to level. So grinding SM it is.

Speaking only for myself as a healing mage, I have only been healing in guild group raids. Gnomer has been tough to heal, I’m going OoM halfway through most fights and cannot compete with holy priests when it comes to longevity. Already talked with my guildies so they know about my mana issues but I wouldn’t risk healing a pug Gnomer.
I have absolutely no idea if any other healing classes are having the same problem with mana, but it’s the reason I don’t apply for pugs during the resets we don’t have enough people to run it.
This would unironically be really cool. Like in SWTOR with a smuggler or trooper healer. It worked really well and was a lot of fun. Time to give rogues and hunters healing specs.
You might be doing something wrong. The shorter fights up to menagerie shouldn’t be an issue. When at menagerie really make sure you use those buttons on cooldown. Try to look into which spells you are using since you might be wasting a lot of mana. The biggest culprit is likely going up too high in arcane blast stacks.
On most of my runs I end with around 30-35% mana on menagerie and thermaplug. It definitely is more difficult to maintain your manapool than on a priest but it seems to be working out well enough. You should be at roughly 80-90% of a priest’s healing while also providing a sizeable chunk of damage if things go well!
Healers don’t participate in one-shot-meta-games. This is tried and true in gaming.

What’s your talent tree look like?
Yep, healing is inefficient and unfun, particularly in PvP.
To save P2 - Reduce all damage by 30%, lower gnomer raid health pools, proportionately. PvE content stays the same, PvP content dramatically improves. Healers return to the game.

I think they should half the mana cost of wild growth until they give us anything else that actually works.
Healing rain is half the cost and heals just as much over a slightly longer period but also hits the entire raid not just 1 group.
Edit: also healing rain can crit. Yet not Druid hot can crit.

Create an interaction with wild growth to improve its efficiency (overhealing provides mana back).
Lifebloom needs massive buffs.
Living seed is the worst rune in the game. It was dead on arrival as it makes no sense in the druid kit. Turn it into “Your heal-over-time spells provide your target with a seed that blooms for 30% of the overall HoT as it concludes”

man if only the evil dual spec that would totally ruin the game for everyone existed…
Uh you do know how healing rain works right? It most certainly does not heal the entire raid, its heals the group of your target only, and only if they stand in the 10 yard aoe. Yea it can crit but its only real use is applying ancestral healing for the 25% armor increase. My sham is lvl 40 with 247 healing power and healing rain heals for anywhere from 610-920 over 10 seconds. I wont disagree with you that druid runes are garbage, but don’t act like shaman runes are any better.
thats a dumb way of looking at it. not creating talent locks for healing runes is why druids all play moonkin. same playstyle but less dmg as resto.

Join a guild if you want to raid consistently and have healers.
Healers aren’t going to PUG. They will be snagged up by guilds if they are any good so they get guaranteed loot.
Healers are usually the most loot focused people that I’ve met in game. They are super dama andies.
LOL what?
Healers are always rock bottom for loot distribution unless it’s SR or MS>OS since forever

Not if you want to keep them in guild.
They are super drama andies and will gquit if you don’t prio them loot. They will go to a guild who will.
Healing is boring so they don’t feel accomplished unless they get gear every raid.
I have in nearly 20 years only dealt with 1 healer who was extremely loot focused.
I have however had to council 30 year old men playing dps crying over loot in every single tier.

Wrong.
Every guild I’ve been in the healers were the top loot goblins and fought over BIS caster gear for healing.
It was a joke.

You have the wierdest takes. How can you make such a broad statement so confidently lol

Easily because it is how healers are.
They don’t play for fun. They play for loot. Unlike DPS who can play for fun because it is fun.
This is why healers are the hardest to find because they raid log after they win their loot each week.
