Some will, some won’t. I’ve seen enough Gordan Ramsey to more or less understand what taking the piss means.

It seems to be used in a similar way to ‘trolling’ honestly if we were to use Internet terminology.

From my limited understanding as a Canadian.

Taking the piss is soccer hooligan slang for not taking something seriously. It is common in some UK English dialects. A common American English equivalent would be “You’re joking, right?”.

As far as naming your TSM scumming char Bot, it is an OK joke. If he’s actually botting, maybe he’ll get swept up in a ban wave, maybe he wont. Depend on how advanced his bot is. He likely is just buying up underpriced crystals with TSM macro and relisting higher. It is a common practice, frankly it is one of the end game pillars.

This American uses a ton of British slang on the regular because British slang is posh.

Weird, because for those same people, “pissed” means drunk, as opposed to angry.

Brits are odd.
