Well it would shortly after hitting max level but I tried to gather a couple people up that never tried the game.
I would run noobs through Deadmines constantly. Like constantly. To like people receiving more than 20 runs per character. Just holy novaing the whole place down. Why was this a noob move? None of these people ended up staying anyways… that would be why. One was trying very hard to get me into trying League of Legends. Others just set on other games.
Still even though I feel like I might’ve lost some time maybe excelling/progressing a bit more in raiding in BC doing this. As I only managed to do like Kara, Gruul, Mag. Regardless rather they stayed or not I have fond memories of this.
Plus I have a deep love of Deadmines in my heart from this. One thing I kinda regretted not experiencing in Classic was the old mines. I have some nice memories of complete noobs from Classic also that manage to bring a smile to my face.
To be honest, I don’t feel like I would’ve never gotten very far on WoW on my own. Playing alone Initially I mean. It really makes all the difference having the help or companions etc. It is a MMO.
Hmm I guess I would add when I made my second character. Still it was a first time experience for me. I decided to level her near Hillsbrad Foothills on a PvP server and Alliance. I could not level that character literally for three days and I was hiding in the inn. Managed to die still with mass wars going on outside. I had no idea what I was in for going into that territory to level.
Probably some other things, but all I can think of atm.
spent a couple weeks questing Elwynn and saving up 1 gold to buy a grey colored sword from the Goldshire vendor not knowing the auction house even existed, sure a heck I found out about the ah a couple days after my purchase, and that I could have bought a sword 3 times more powerful for half the price.
I started wow back on November 24, 2004, the noobiest moment was when I created my first character which was a Warrior only to have players in chat tell me that paladins were much better.
Obviously, being new to the game and MMOs in general I had No clue what was good or not and deleted my warrior and created my first female Human Paladin. Which I later went on to hate because I ended up healing in raids.
So, I created my first ever Ne hunter and enjoyed pulling for tanks and kiting in raids.
I played a Warrior and I was somewhere in the neighborhood of level 25 before I figured out how to use charge. I kept thinking wtf good is an ability that can only be used out of combat.
i started playing in TBC and it was my first time with a mmo outside of toontown haha i dont remember exactly but i never made it past 29 and opted to twink at that lvl and i basically only bg’d and begged for gold to buy ‘twink’ gear that wasnt really twink gear becuz i had no idea what i was doing
My first toon was a rogue, in my first dungeon I went so far ahead of the group because I thought I had to scout it out! Lol
Then it took me forever to realize I didn’t have to stop to eat constantly (was eating intel food anyways) that I could make bandages. Obviously this was a long time ago, when everyone made bandages
