beg SW for gold. I was a young kid that didn’t know the value yet and wanted my mount.
Oh and and I became lost in Mulgore. First toon and I couldn’t find my way back to Bloodhoof Village.

Not sure why, but I only had Solar Wrath and Moonfire on my action bar. I kept leveling and leveling and was like “Man, Druid is boring. When will I be learning more spells?”
Until I saw in the spell list several like Lunar Strike and Starsurge.
I also recall another one from where I was in desolace. Blizzard delivered the mount the Hearthsteed to some players. I was talking with my guild until very activeI go for the first time to my inbox and see the mount. I thought the mount belonged to one of the guild as for some reason I thought it was a guild perk.
I said in guild chat that I had a mount I found on the inbox and was not sure who was the owner. The guild chat went silent all of a sudden.
Sighs Makes me want to stop suffering with the bullying Blizz gives the Spriests and go back to my loved Druid.
On my first day in wow ( which December 2018) I was in Barrens and tried to save a player from a lion that was chasing him, so I tried to attack the lion. Turns out that lion was that player’s pet. That hunter nearly died laughing.
In BC I stopped what I was doing when Defense channel alerted me that Eversong Woods was under attack. Followed the level 70s running in so I could help out. As a level 11 Paladin, I got instantly obliterated before even getting into melee range. But songs were sung about my bravery. I hope.
Being well and truly lost in an MMO is honestly one of the most immersive parts of gaming IMO. Makes it feel like a world.
I auto-attacked everything; I was worried about spending my resources. Also, when I visited an enemy city one time, I thought the Trade channel I was tuned to was theirs. I thought it was so cool to speak with the opposite faction and was going on about something, but it obviously wasn’t long until I was told the truth… in a rather harsh way, naturally.
Took me forever to figure out how to talk in general or trade chats. I literally thought you to manually type out “[2. Trade] [My name]:” every time to send a message.
But I was embarrassed to try it in public, so sometimes I’d be talking to myself out in the wilderness even though it didn’t work. And perpetually afraid some rogue was stealthed nearby and going to see me. Looking it up online did not occur to me.
Yes but getting lost in the open plains of Mulgore is a bit embarrassing looking back.
Assumed, based on Warcraft 3 lore, that Theramore was neutral and tried to visit it on my Undead.
Didn’t end well for me.
I’m embarrassed to admit I still get lost about Undercity… after ALL these years I never played Horde… (to busy rerolling…)
I’m not sure where the entrance is. The place is one big mystery maze to me still.
I asked my wife (a WoW veteran) where my stuff was going when I picked it up. I didn’t realize there was more than the base bag.
I swam across the river to Duskwood at level 8 because I wanted to see what was over there.
I could not figure out how to get into Darnassus, so I swam around the entire World Tree for over an hour, climbing up the roots until I couldn’t anymore, then moving onto the next roots I could get on.
Charged into a group of gnolls in Elwynn… as a mage.
They reminded me to NEVER do that again.
I fell off of Teldrasil trying to loot a spider.
I remember thinking my dragonhawk non-combat pet (that I had on my mage btw) would grow up, or evolve to be a dragonhawk hunter pet I could fight with
LOL
Played Melee hunter and had a group of all dps try to do deadmines.
We had a level 36 paladin with us and thought he could just kill everything.
I left a guild a few weeks after a guildy bought me Grim Reaper and the guild trash talked me in general.
Consistently dual-wielded daggers as an arms warrior until 40-something, even after doing the whirlwind weapon quest
Goodness… I went thru a phase where I only dual wield those common quality fists weapons… I just HAD to Wolverine!
Quite the Highlander we got here!
I was questing in Stonetalon Mountains (first character ever, horde warlock). I’d just killed a kodo, or thunder lizard, idk… but I see a skull alliance player running towards me.
I ran into the kodo to hide.
the alliance player stopped
/smile
/pat
and kept on going
lol to this day I remember that. I wonder if that guy is all “man one day I saw this absolute noob hide in a lizard”
