When World of StarCraft Classic?

Thank you Blizzard to open a TBC server in 1year, but 1year is too long so i kill time on forum…

When World of StarCraft Classic ?

Copy-Past WoW Classic’s gameplay / mechanic / UI / mobility →
In a StarCraft univers
Keep it Cartoon style

This way we could explore a new world without a BiS list road from Day1

The Adventure !!!

StarCraft or Diablo, not sure which would make a better MMO.

What SC2 units would be playable?

I don’t really know wich units, i never really played StarCraft but it’s same genre as Warcraft III that i played

All i did in Starcraft II was playing that Tron’s custom map motorcycle

But it got good potential as a MMO yep

There was a character inspired from SC in Warcraft 3, with a machinegun, atleast we could play it on the custom maps like ‘X Hero Siege’ / ‘Footmen Frenzy’ / etc

I think World of Starcraft most classes would look like hunters from WoW, but with machineguns and all that, they could manage to make warriors or alien mages too

If there’s a beta, there’ll be BiS lists on Day 1.

:woman_shrugging:

the work doesn’t magically become easier just because you call it “copy-paste” :expressionless:

never again.

yeah i know

even then, that’s some job for future generations, i think far !!!

Many many years ago I pitched this idea to blizzard in a few emails, but it never took off:

Starcraft MMORPG, 3 factions, each faction plays like a different style of game:

Terrans: Play like a first person shooter. Aim is required, your progression path is upgrading your armor, weapons, equipment, etc.

Protoss: Play like a third person action RPG (Like WoW or similar games). Primarily melee combatants, and your progression path is upgrading your shields, psionic abilities, and psi blades.E

Zerg: Play like a top-down RTS, wherein you’re an overlord controlling a small squad of zerg units. Progression path is unlocking new units and mutations, and being able to adjust your squad to different scenarios.

Three types of players, one game, it’d be great.

in a parallel universe, they went with this idea over WoW :expressionless:

Three types of gameplay is something that exist like in ‘Battlefield’ games (third person + first person + planes, etc)
So that’s interesting, but it’s such a lot more work than WoW copy-paste

Yea my first experience with it was back in a game called Savage: The battle for Eden, where one player was a commander and did the basebuilding RTS style while the others were combatants on the field. It was interesting but that game at least never got really popular.

A Starcraft mmo would have been amazing. Three factions is so much more interesting than two. Great setup for races and classes.

Blizz of 20 years ago would have made an amazing game out of it. 2025 Blizz it would be a complete and utter disaster.

Diablo seems like it would be easier to made into an MMO, at least one that would be familiar to WoW players.

SC2 would be cool. I’m just drawing a blank on what the units would be.

While we are at it, Starcraft was a copy-paste of Warcraft, so why not do the same in this case ?

( :money_mouth_face: )

I want World of Diablo so they can go back to the dark gritty they used to be before they jumped on bright colors, chunky designs, and went cartoony.

Um… there is a starcraft 2…

Yeah no kidding?

You gonna be a Zergling, Roach, Overlord, Hydralisk, Baneling, or what lol

That’s what I mean

Oh you mean if it was an mmo style game?

I had suggested above that a zerg faction player would essentially take the roll of an overlord that controls a small group of traditional zerg units.
