When will we hear about the fate of Ashenvalev

When is Blizzard going to tell us what happened with Ashenvale? Are they letting us win both Warfronts, as a way to compensate the Alliance, because the Kaldorei just lost out on the peace treaty negotiations that badly? Are they giving us a chance to cool off before they tell us that the Kaldorei have been screwed over again?

Shame on you, bad Paladin. You know what starting this thread will do! Like everything that’s about to be said hasn’t been said a thousand times before.

When? Likely the next time the Horde attacks.

Honestly, they are not letting us win both as a compensation. They wrote themselves into a corner with the warfronts by having them happen in Alliance lands (especially as deep as Darkshore). With the way they started the expac and the amount the Alliance was getting kicked around it would have been salt in the wound to say the Horde won. Additionally, and probably the larger point, with the way the rest of the war went it is not really believable that the Horde would be able to hold onto those territories.

Personally, i suspect it was always intended to have Alliance victories there. My guess is the originally intended more warfronts, ones that the Horde would have won. They just never got put in.

As to the actual fate of Ashenvale: Logic says it would be most of not all Alliance. The Alliance signing a treaty that gives any of it to the Horde makes no sense. Additionally, the lack of comment about it from Tyrande likely means it is not a point of contention for her, and it would be if the Horde was getting any part. So, logically we can say the Alliance holds it. But, we will see…Blizzard has stretched logic beyond the breaking point in the past…

Next time they do a story in the zone, are you new to wow?

I feel the players do this more then blizzard i mean look at sylvanas

Oh, I don’t disagree. The Sylvanas super fans did a lot of stretching well beyond any semblance of logic. There are still a few that pop up seeming to think she will turn out to be a hero all along. But, Blizzard has done it as well. So, while there is no logical reason to think the Horde holds any lands in Ashenvale, we cannot be certain Blizzard wont decide they do sometime down the road, because…reasons, for some story element. Until then, the logical conclusion is that the Alliance controls it.

Absolutely Nobody:

Human Paladin: “Cowabunga it is.”

More seriously, it remains a leveling zone, and we’re unlikely to see much visual progression there- Darkshore (and Arathi) were rebuilt for a specific purpose, and the former the site of major story advancement at the outset of the xpac.

Whatever becomes of Ashenvale will likely be a series of NPC commentary, and out of game coverage. That is entirely normal for most things in WoW.

So when are the peace talks actually going to happen did they give a time frame on that?

allowing the horde get ashenvale and signing a peacy treaty after that would be a devastating blow for the alliance.

To me, there is no way that i could ever fight for the alliance ever again if that happens.

after the raid

We’re talking about Anduin here, the blue war peacechief

The Horde has a council now but whatever Baine’s in charge. He’s not gonna let his boyfriend look bad. Didn’t worry alliance. Baine got his man and Andy gets whatever Andy asks for.

We all know they never… or let’s say… to 90% don’t upgrade a zone or continue the lore they started. So we probably never know about the fate of ashenvale.

Probably when Blizzard is certain about whether they need to use Ashenvale as a plot point in the expansion two expansions after Shadowlands.

Bold to assume they’ll wait two expansions

Yeah, it’ll be more like 3-4. Or a Hearthstone expansion.

Hard to say, I suppose they could have Alliance victories in both zones, however they could also just have some form of stalemate which came to a halt when Sylvanas was killed as they never really announced a clear winner. And now considering the leadership of the Horde is gone to a council headed by Baine I don’t imagine the Horde would keep the territory even if they won it as he wasn’t for the war to begin with.

I think they really need to bring the world up to speed again and bring the timeline to Shadowlands. But then there’s the whole choose which expansion you want to level in so ideally for me there would be a few versions of Ashenvale; Classic, Cataclysm, Battle for Azeroth. After BFA I imagine it goes back to mostly Alliance control but perhaps the Horde are allowed to inhabit the east side of the region as they already do somewhat. And lore-wise they need its materials, which was one of Garrosh’s whole ideas.

And for Arathi you could say the same thing pretty much, mostly Alliance with some Horde lingering. Especially since Stromgarde was finally rebuilt could have some cool content to be added there.

Not wait two expansions. They generally outline expansions two in advance, so really I’m just saying sometime during Shadowlands, based on whether they decide the expansion following the expansion following Shadowlands could use Tyrande being angry about Ashenvale.

Yeah, that’s certainly a good possibility

You mean despite everything in this expansion, you still have will to fight for the alliance?

I don’t like the Alliance at all and I’m playing.
Granted I typically don’t stay subbed as long as most of you folks do.
