I mean it’s a match made in heaven just like MtG (Magic The Gathering) x LotR and MtG x D&D was. Heck Final Fantasy is getting a collab set and Fallout got collab Commander decks. I’d kill to build myself a Jaina or Arthas Commander decks in Magic. It’d be like printing money.
(And before anyone mentions Hearthstone or the old WoW TCG, Final Fantasy has a successful TCG and LotR had an old TCG too.)
I’d prefer a Yu-Gi-Oh collab…MtG doesn’t have as many if any cute girls on their cards as YGO does.

Yeah I used to get hit on to uncomfortable levels back in the day at Friday Night Magic but these days it’s a more diverse crowd.

A lot of the design space has been eaten up by hearthstone.
And hearthstone is a very very popular game. MtG being a competitor now since arena is so popular.
Id love it. But that+wow already having the tcg (which is fairly well designed for kitchen table games imo) just makes it basically 0 chance of happening.
I swear, imagine anything that can or has caused outrage online. Anything at all, from any perspective at all.
Hasbro or WotC has done that.
They’ve had blatant racism in their books, they’ve had hollow cash-grabs capitalizing on pride week, they’ve bought small companies out and turned them into greedy cash cows, they’ve used AI in items they sell - anything, man.
I hate Wizards and Hasbro about as much as I do Nintendo. No love. If not for D&D, I wouldn’t interact at all.

There’s a reason there was such a massive influx to PF2e. Fantastic system, too. I even saw some traffic to smaller systems.
