When will we get a Horde story?

You can’t be “faction neutral” when you so systematically focus on only one faction.

Horde players chose the Horde as their background. To make that irrelevant to the story is to detach those characters from the story.

You moved beyond it my dude. You don’t speak for all those players who are tired of having alliance Avenger Heroes as questgivers

I’m genuinely curious what that quest solved about Baine, because I was left scratching my head wondering what purpose the questline served in general. Baine is a racist who nearly gets himself killed, and they dug up an old WC3 character to kill off-camera (Bovan Windtotem). I fail to see how that addresses him always going to bat for The Alliance.

“Stuff is totally neutral folks!”

continues to use the same 5 alliance heroes over again for every story no matter if they make sense even being there or not.

We won’t.

  • Those arguing “Oh but Midnight” — Lmao no, if you honestly think Blizzard aren’t going to give the Alliance, void elves and Silver Covenant equal standing in the story as the Blood Elves – if not MORE, then you really haven’t been paying attention …

This is the Alliance’s world!

The Horde are just privileged to live in it. :joy:

I find this one funny, and so true.

But it makes me wonder, if it is related to the fact that, the primary race of the Horde are orcs, and orcs dont come from Azeroth, therefore, they not really having much stories like the humans who have a story in every expacs.

I am wondering if, would if the Trolls would have been the main race of the Horde (Like imagine! It owuld not have been Orcs & Humans, but Trolls & Humans!) Thus they would relate lot more into the world around them?

They should double-down on the orcs being descended from the massive TITANforged elemental being ‘Grond’ – and carry with them their own sparks of nobility from the dormant power of Aggramar — and thus hold a secret touch that other titanforged beings do – whilst also holding great elemental potential too. :tada:

There’d be lots of great potential & storylines for orcs to have in Azeroth → if they simply used  their  imagination  and looked back on the story they’ve built … However I feel they’re more often inclined towards retconning, ignoring or squandering it for flawed & boresome storylines instead :face_exhaling:

Yeah, i love that affiliation they made in chronnicles v2, the moment when you realize, that orcs and humans pretty much are related to Aggramar.

Its what i always found pretty sad, that on Alliance they go a lot on about the titans, but not wiht the Horde…

And I doubt it will ever change.

Stop being a child.

If you just briefly read what I actually said you would know that is false. So, I can only concluded that you are intentionally lying.

Has Blizzard made mistakes with the Alliance? Yes.
Has Blizzard made mistakes with the Horde? Yes.

Who had it worse? Depends one what you care more about. Because of that subjective nature it is impossible to clearly state which faction players were worse off.

What is not subjective is the fact Blizzard is not just throwing the Horde a bone. They are trying. They are giving both factions stories. Claiming the Horde is just being given morsels is just you playing the victim.

I could just as easily say the first patch was just Blizzard ‘throwing the Alliance a bone’ because of all the Horde content they had planned. It is just as valid a claim as you calling Undermine that. It would also be wrong.

Horde is getting content. It might not be what you want. But it is not just a bare minimum. But, I can see you are not willing to give up the victim role.

Well, good thing Undermine is an integral part of the campaign. You do know why we are going there, right?

I don’t think that is cynicism. It is FAR to early to call Midnight. We can’t even call TWW yet. We know very little about what will actually transpire in Midnight.

We do know it will be in Blood Elf lands. So, I think we can say it is probable there will be a lot of Horde story. But we don’t have nearly enough information about how much or what that story will be.

I think you are going to see a lot of Trolls with the Harronir. My guess is we are going to find Trolls are a lot more connected to Azeroth herself than we thought. That is just a guess. But that is where it feels like it is going.

I feel like this is a good example of my issue with Baine. He needs a chance to be the bull. I always feel like they try to portray the Tauren as peaceful and gentle until riled up, when the Bull’s horns come out so to speak. But Baine never gets the chance to be the bull.

I am not sure how they could have done it in BfA with the story they were telling. How do you give Baine that moment without the logical conclusion being him on a pyre next to Saurfang? Sylvanas being so strong and so determined to kill lots of people kind of locked out a lot of options. So, I kind of understand them not doing it in BfA (though they should have found a way). But he needs that ‘now you have gone to far’ moment where he slams the totem down and says ‘NO! I will not allow it.’

Holy crap, you’re still doing it!

Does the Bilgewater stuff count? That seems like its going to be the main focus next patch.

Well I have said this before, I dont ask for Pandaren content too much because I have seen what a monkeys paw that can be.

Does it tie to the overarching Earthen/Arathi/Dalaran storyline?

I would be pretty sure it is if it’s an entire patch dedicated to it.
But I don’t think what you label is the main story. I think stopping xalataf ( however you spell it) is.

I’d settle for it tying to either one. If it’s purely its own thing, then it’s nice, but I consider that a cut below being actually part of the expansion story.

Well if i could ask What do you think is the main part of the story right now?
Dalaran is destroyed
Earthen and Arathi were helped with there issues.

(Wow my phone is REALLY bad with text to speech, sorry for all the edits…))

“When will we get a Horde story?”

Probably the next time they need to kill a faction leader because he/she is a villain from the Horde yet again.

Or

When they need Baine to spew his normal garbage about how great and awesome the Alliance is, maybe Anduin needs another piece of Baine’s body /shurg. Maybe he can wield that little human sized mace that Anduin gave him that was soooooooo cool to see.

His mech falls on him after the fight. People are assuming he dies from it. But I guess we’ll have to wait and see.

Edit: Before anyone pulls the Well akkually card, we don’t actually know as of yet, but yeah, there’s a 99.9% he’s probably dying
