Old UI let you do this, new UI only allows 1 row of 8 groups so when in a 40 man (like we will be for world bosses) the frames extend into the central play space and it’s pretty obnoxious.
There are UI addons that address this, but the frames to me aren’t as clean looking as the official frames, plus I like how official frames show buffs/debuffs, so I want to stick with them.
You can configure vuhdo to look identical to the official frames and arrange them however you want. Plus it’s way more functional.
I have mine 5 across for 25 man and an additional 3 on top for 40. Shows buffs and rolling hots on each frame.
It’s kind of a b to learn to configure tho.
Shows class colors, role icon, and debuffs/buffs exactly the same way?
Yep, you can configure that bad boy with a lot more than just that too.
It can do literally anything you can think of and some you can’t.
K I’ll give it a go when servers are back up. This wasn’t bothering me until I did the WB yesterday and then I was really po’d that they left this out and haven’t put it back in yet.
EDIT: Okay so it looks like I tried Vuhdo back when I first noticed this was a problem (UI prepatch) because it already has a profile. The thing I don’t like is that it doesn’t show ie. Beacon of Light as the Beacon of Light icon on the frames, but as a red square that when I hover over gives me no information. Any way to change this?
EDIT2: Yeah you have to add a bunch of stuff manually, not what I’m looking for. Just want default raid frames 2 rows of 4 groups when vert.

The roadmap says “User Interface Improvements” with 10.1, so maybe then, but I’m not holding my breath since this issue isn’t frontpage 24/7.
I just don’t get why they moved the party raid frames toggle into edit mode. I can deal with the new configuration, but it’s literally impossible to see what is going on in that crappy party frame. Raid party frame should be default, or at least not require a custom profile >:(
Nothing about this in the 10.0.5 notes with the other edit mode updates.
