People are getting close to max ilvl and i thought that’s when they typically get rid of the cap?
Everyone hopes it will be on Oct 7th when 11.2.5 drops and Turbo Boost arrives. However, since it wasn’t explicitly stated in their blog, some people have doubts.

I hope it is with the “turbo” boost event, otherwise it will be more like a “slow burn” event.
Guaranteed to be part of the TB, when everyone is gonna be grinding crests like mad. Would be dumb to raise the ilvl cap and then not let anyone reach it.
S2 turbo uncapped at the same time too.
Devs never do anything dumb, so we’re totally safe.
Joking aside, I think because the blog article alluded to some features of Turbo Boost arriving later, and then the uncapping wasn’t explicitly listed as happening on Oct 7 so people are all /tinfoilhat ON about it.
Wouldn’t call it tinfoil hat. In S2 they dropped everything at the same time, and crest cap removal was specifically mentioned in their post. This time, they’re splitting the implementation of the features and crest cap removal wasn’t mentioned at all. So they’re doing things differently this time around and not making the implementation time of one of the features known.

I don’t see the removal of the cap happening for another month or so at least. I’ll probably be wrong, but I won’t be surprised at all if it takes that long. S1 and S2 didn’t remove the caps until they were pretty much irrelevant, so that’s all I’m basing my prediction on.
