Queues are obviously insane (averaging 12k) but that’s lower than the 25k+ that it was during launch.
Opinions on when this queue will likely die down?
I play on Faerlina so I assume it’ll sustain a possible queue, but I think it’ll die down to a few thousand or less after two weeks.
There’s no que times at 2am.

It’s 12k on Faerlina right now and I’m down to 5k in about an hour and a half.
Gotta do whacha gotta do.
When the PvP scrubs leave. Three weeks tops; I’m guessing two for most of them. Basically, as soon as they get over level 20 into the contested areas and start getting ganked every 5 minutes by the Rogue poop-socker who’s somehow already level 45 and lives for no other reason than to compensate for his shriveled eP33n by griefing other players who stand no chance against him.

I just logged in to a high population server with no queue.

After 1.5 hr wait that is.

The number of people literally mean nothing. I went down from 10000 people to 550 in less than 3 hrs.
Ive went down from 550 to 537 in 1.5 hrs.

Yep. Last night my queue said about 30 minutes. It said that for over 30 minutes.

lol git good it’s that simple. Or play a pve server. both are acceptable in my eyes
Yeah, it’s not that simple, actually. When you’re up against people 20 levels higher than you “git gud” doesn’t really cut it. This is an RPG, not Fortnite. But I understand where you’re coming from, which is why I played on Myzrael.
When the streamers get bored.
There are a TON of people streaming Classic right now, and not just on Twitch.
You must’ve gotten ganked a lot.
quit your job, sleep during the day, play at night
If past expansion launches are any indication, by week 2, there will be minimal queues and by week 3 almost none. That’s when the worries about long term health of the server would start coming up.
Of course, if there’s servers with queues on week 3, that server probably will have a healthy population long term.
You mean like 50% of the players who inevitably leave every PvP server in every old-school MMO ever? It’s not hard to predict the future of a PvP server when a level disparity gives you such a huge advantage. You could put Ninja on a PvP server; a Master Fortnite player. And he’ll get destroyed by a 6-year-old who’s 20 levels above him.
The skill vs. skill doesn’t kick in until level 60, and so many players are not going to make it that far. I say 50% but that’s being generous.
When Dark Age of Camelot opened Mordred, there were 10,000 people constantly trying to login. Six months later, the server shut down. The entropy on PvP servers is huge for any old-school MMORPG.
You have a good point but I think the simple solution is not to join a pvp server.
