There are no micro-transactions with Mythic+. You’re way over the top.
Look, no one wants to follow you around for 2 hours in a dungeon we’ve all done countless times. Move or get out of the way. That’s what the game has always been.

I was playing in 2005 and that wasn’t the norm at all. I can’t even count how many classic and TBC dungeon groups I was in that persisted through several wipes and even a few party member swaps. Wipe intolerance wasn’t much of a problem until cross realm LFD had been a thing for a while (though I think it’s actually a symptom of pushover heroics) and it wasn’t set into stone until M+.
People jumping groups and burning people’s keys at the slightest hint of what they consider trouble is certainly a problem.
Idk if you are joking or what, but I’m talking about events like the MDI. League of Legends Worlds. Things like that.
That draw millions of eyes to them, and make millions of dollars in advertising for the company.
This is the future of the gaming industry and a game like this especially, because too many youths grow up seeing Esports as a competitive avenue to pursue and eventually turn into a career.
I really don’t understand how anyone could disagree with this, but I guess some people are just really stuck in their ways.
In the end, take the advice I gave originally.
This isn’t changing.
Whether you think it should or not, it is too big of a deal for too many games.
If its ruining the game for you, it might be time to think on why and consider how to fix it yourself. Asking Blizzard to remove M+ is not a reasonable thing to do, and not likely to happen under any current circumstance.
If you want to have fun doing dungeons the first time, dont do it on a timed run. There are normal, heroic, and standard mythic 0 runs for that.
Aggressive trash respawn is a timer. The only difference is that instead of “we gotta beat this boss and clear his trash in 5 minutes else we won’t be on schedule to +1 the key”, you’re exchanging it for a “we gotta beat this boss and clear his trash in 5 minutes, else we gotta clear all this trash all again”.
It wouldn’t even eliminate the strategy of “just sit in this spot where the trash can’t get us and go make a coffee while we wait for Bloodlust to come off cooldown”.
It all comes down to the fact that if you give someone essentially unlimited time to clear a dungeon, they’re going to cheese it at higher difficulties. The only way to make Mythic+ at all scalable in terms of difficulty without a timer would be is if one wipe completely reset the dungeon.
And even then, people would just resort to using all their cooldowns on every pull and then waiting for them to come back.
I’ve never seen a group survive trash respawns.
Only time I see this is when the group is massively failing the dungeon and it’s taking an eternity to even reach the first or second boss.
Why not remove raiding? I mean Verant/SoE made the fundamental aspect of it in EQ… why can Blizzard not make their own idea? Raiding should not be the only way to gear at end game.
That is an odd combo IMO unless you only dabble in the 5 and under M+. I personally stick to 10-12 range and never more… no real benefit.
I’d rather have a dungeon with the difficulty of a +10 and it be mythic.
I think most of these people are working under the assumption that every failed timer results in people raging, screaming, leaving, etc.
they’re wrong.
people who run a lot of keys fail quite a few of them. and the vast majority of those failures end exactly as Baspirath said “hey, thanks for the group” or “sorry we didn’t time it!” “no problem!” or “gg all see you around”
Mythic+ will be removed on the same day that I quit. The question is which comes first lol…
I hope they remove M+
M+ is already a great feature for the players lucky enough to regularly have access to exactly 4 other friends of roughly equal skill, gear, and dungeon experience level when they want to play.
What Blizzard really needs to work on is an intelligent match maker that can replicate this fun for everyone else.
While it can certainly be done today without any additional support (thanks in part to raider-io, etc.), the process is sufficiently annoying, and involves enough waiting around hoping to get lucky, that many players opt out early after quickly reaching their frustration level.
Some good guided match making with AI and individualized feedback could make for a fun, motivating experience for players at any level to be able to join an appropriate group, have fun, and feel motivated to progress while maintaining convenience and not relying on luck to find the right other players at the right time.
The WoW community never ceases to amaze me with its constant lying. Like another poster here said, Blizzard makes changes to things that were not a problem to begin with, people ask why it was changed, people respond that the game would not work without it.
Flying, and now timed dungeons. The game was friggen fine before Mythic + Timed nonsense, it will be fine without it completely.
Or wait until blizzard makes you do gundrak in like 7 minutes in ICC for daily badges for rewards 4 tiers higher than the content you are doing.
Yeah idk mechagon dropped like 1.5 pieces a boss over 8 bosses. You had to kill 2 bosses to get the same amount of gear from an entire +5 dungeon.
My biggest confusion about m+ mechagon is they give you A LOT of time for upper and way less for lower which doesn’t make sense since there are only like 8 trash packs in upper.
you are right on that, it is a big disconnect I see happening between the blizz devs and the players.
If you were doing your daily heroic in wrath for badges you finished the dungeon in like 10 minutes tops unless you lost the dice roll and got violet hold. This has been a “thing” for over 10 years. M+ did NOTHING to promote doing dungeons fast. The general playerbase wants to get things done fast and not waste time especially when it’s their 15th time going through GunDrak.
The only fallouts are usually one person leaving at anything bad (which is usually like 1% of the time) or when you wipe multiple times to the same thing. Like people not kicking the second boss in shrine or something.
Most keys that are only setback enough to miss the timer by like sub 10 minutes or whatever usually go as stated. It’s finished and people go on with their day.
If blizzard did not give people ICC gear for running release wrath dungeons through badges how many people do you think would actually run dungeons that drop gear SIGNIFICANTLY worse than getting on a horse and hitting the 1 key a couple times?
