When will high elf fans stop demanding more?

Depends on how you define the conflict - if its just race hate - then yes Amani are not going to ally with anyone.

But it about land - well the lands are in Quel’Thalas - which the Alliance would be the invading force to try and boot out the Horde/Blood Elves. If you wanted to go that route.

This ignores that Midnight is about the Light vs. the Void with Quel’Thalas as the battleground. It’s not about the Horde vs. Alliance.

Even if it WERE about the Horde vs. Alliance, do you think the Void Elves/High Elves would just be… okay, allying with the Amani and giving up Quel’Thalas?

The Void Elves are the Elves - who basically flip flopped sides and have whispers in their heads actively trying to make them “evil”. At this point I’m pretty sure they’d be up for anything.

You have more of a point with High Elves… but they’ve been apart from their homeland for what? 20 to 30 years at this point - they’re refugees… and while I’m sure they’d want to return to home one day - they also seem to want to murder the Blood Elves.

I got the perfect solution for the whole silvermoon debate. Gilneas is literally right there in the same general area.

Give it a brand new update and have it be the staging ground for alliance forces in the north as we fight to retake quel’thalas

It’s something that I’ve suggested before, but it’s worth considering as midnight draws closer

Ah yes, “retake” Quel’Thalas.

As in helping the blood elves. Want to clear that up before the complaints start

Edit: Really shouldn’t need to clarify this for people. But here we are I guess.

In the context of this thread, especially re: Helf proponents wanting Silvermoon, and absent any implication that Silvermoon itself will need retaking, I’m not sure how else I could have taken it, but

… if you were just suggesting to use Gilneas as the Alliance faction hub for Midnight as a staging ground to help defend the Sunwell, I agree. That would give a city that was unjustifiably ignored for far too long some prominence and entirely sidestep the doody salad parfait that will occur if Silvermoon gets carved up into pieces to make room for non Blood Elves.

Its a bit far - possibly the closest kingdom they’ve got - the only others would be Alterac - which is a Ruin - and Stromgarde - which is in semi active conflict.

I’m fiercely defensive of the worgen and gilneas and suggesting anyway for them and the city to be prominent within alliance storytelling.

Gilneas should be the alliance hub for midnight. That’s all I want

You forgot that there will be elven reunification… the alliance and horde elves will definitely reunite in Quel’Thalas…not Gilneas.

I didn’t forget. Doesn’t prevent us from using gilneas as a staging ground for midnight.

You do realize we are going to need a place to use right since quel’thalas will be under attack

It would be really strange if the elven union was divided because they united mainly to protect Quel’Thalas.

I don’t get why some people are so averse to letting the gilneans/worgen play a role in literally anything. Their biggest allies are the kaldorei for crying out loud

Worgen are not elves.

Gilneas is multiple zones away from Silvermoon. I would think establishing or re-establishing a settlement in Western or Eastern Plaguelands would be closer.

And what does that have to do with gilneas being a central hub for the alliance genius?

It borders the same territory with the forsaken. It’s the closest major alliance capital in the area with a harbor to boot.

There’s another high elven city port that the alliance can have as a hub near the borders of quel’thalas somewhere in northern lordaeron where the plaguelands are at.

The high elves don’t have any major port cities that I’m aware of. The one they did live in, theramore, was nuked by garrosh all the way back in cata

And their other major home, dalaran, was destroyed by xal’atath

We will return to Quel’Thalas at Midnight (C. Metzen), Gilnéas is not in Quel’Thalas.
