Amidrisaal is beautiful. At least graphically speaking.
But you do you erevien.

Uh-huh. Ok.
Let me know when your gonna be honest.
Iâm a high elf fan, I explicitly asked for high elves that are markedly different from blood elves and regular high elves by asking for Highvale elves.
High Elf fans arenât a monolith.
I donât want High Elves to have QuelâThalas. I want them to have as little to do with QuelâThalas as possible. Their entire narrative revolves around a choice they made, a choice that was QuelâThalas, or something else. The High Elves chose something else. Maybe it was loyalty to the Alliance. Maybe it was principals and ethics. Maybe it was hatred toward the Horde. Whatever it was, they made that choice, and having them return to QuelâThalas ultimately negates the meaning of that choice. It ruins what narrative they have.
I find a minority race on the slow decline to extinction far more interesting than, âReclaim QuelâThalas.â
I suggested we end up finding a bunch of high elves that left Silvermoon years ago, probably someone who did so around the time of the Third War.
I didnât actually expect Blizzard would do something like it just with a whole Arathi twist.
They will NEVER stop.
Give them an inch long ear, and they will take a mile long one.
Yes. I pray Midnight will go over without too much drama.
You people know that high elves were supposed to have different eye colors right? They just ended up being blue in WoW for the sake of convenience and to distinguish them from blood elves.
Alleria had emerald green eyes and Sylvanas had grey eyes in the books.
An elven capital is necessary for elven reunification.
High elves fans are really one of the worstâŚ
Donât stop asking for more and more.
In addition, what is so special about high elves, they only have blue eyes, nothing more!
You know.
It will not happen no matter how many times you bang your head on a wall.
Now that pointy ears will be available to humans I imagine the alliance half-elves will also join Arator in Silvermoon.
Silvermoon belongs to the Horde.
Letâs not pretend Blizzard didnât have the chance. Legion gave them the opportunity to introduce high elves as an Allied race on a silver platter, yet they chose to just slap together some random things to create void elves as a race instead of leaving it as an Alleria-only thing (just like being a lightforged human is a Turalyon-only thing).
Thatâs no way to go through life, son. And I hope youâre never subject to that sort of thing.
Agreed. Xal has shown to be capable of corrupting directly and by proxy. I would almost put money on something happening to the Sunwell next expansion, which is why my dark horse pick for the outcome is âeveryone becomes void elvesâ.
They still do. The eye colour is hidden by the glow.
Why do people keep ignoring the Highvale.
Cuz the lodges are small.
For me, the shortest and most fun answer is to say:
âThose High Elf fans have no reason to stop, because Blizzard gives them every thing they want all day. Even Ion has egg on his face for saying If you want Blonde Blue Eyed Elves âŚ. the Horde is waiting for youâŚ. , since Blizzard gave the Alliance that, too.â
But, if I could put it in the simplest of terms.
I do understand people wanting a High Elf who had never been a Blood Elf or a Void Elf. I will call themâŚ. High Elf, to avoid confusionâŚ
There were these brand of High Elves prior to Blood Elves - most of the High Elves became Blood Elves but not all. There are some who didnât, for what ever reason.
There is definitely story in that to be told. Midnight would be the time to start telling it.
As much as I want to start saber rattling about âthe Alliance getting more Horde stuffâ ⌠the High Elf fans arenât all loons wishing for their headcanon to be real. Some just want to play a High Elf who never became a Blood Elf or Void Elf, which are a thing in the canon.
The closest comparison I have is Lordaeron. Lordaeron was all but destroyed, its people scattered but not extinct. Some were raised as Undead and became Forsaken.
Now, Lordaeron is a rallying cry for the Alliance, because they had it and they donât. Blizzard has seemingly doubled down on ceding it to the Forsaken - to the point that Genn helps them reclaim it, and the Forsaken have the Lordaeron L on their Heritage Armor
Blizzard made a heavy handed choice, in the name of unity, to anger the âHuman/Lordaeron/Allianceâ fanbase, which is sizable.
With that as precedent, I can see either a neutral ward of Silvermoon being designed - or some lore based reason to revamp Silvermoon.
Heck, maybe Silvermoon becomes the next Dalaran, and the Blood Elves wonât have to worry about a purge again, if they are in charge.
Or it is entirely demolished and brought back as neutral, like Teldrassil/Amirdrassil
If we are going to include Night Elves and Nightborne, I would think Suramar would make more sense for a place of Elf Unification, since ALL Elves have a connection there. But, Quelthalas has that sunny color scheme that contrasts with what ever they have in store with a name like Midnight.
probably either due to obscurity or because non-magical elves isnât the fantasy elf fans tend to like
I mean, probably not, but they did strip a playable race of their unique appearance, soâŚmaybe?
I put 50-50 odds on at least a neutral portion of Silvermoon (rebuilding the ruined half, maybe).
