When will Anduin master insanity?

When will Anduin become shadow? In order to becomes a powerful Disc priest you have to master insanity. Besides both voidform and shadowform Anduin exist in Hearthstone. So are we going to watch Anduin walk the line of sanity and insanity?

i wouldn’t rely on hearthstone for wow lore

I mean Rastakhan’s rumble has more hype from me then 8.1, but they are 2 different things, at most we might see something like tortallons again.

Shadowreaper Anduin is a Death Knight card.

So I guess when Anduin dies and gets raised by the Lich King.

Well Hearthstone is not exactly the ONLY reason, as Alleria has his ear as well.

Honestly he should have never been disc, simply because he seems so holy.

Also i thought voidform was a shadow only thing, not discipline.

shadowform is shadow only.

Disc is using both shadow and light, walks a fine line between the two. Shadow pushes insanity, some, according to some npcs, loose the battle to insanity. In order to walk the fine line of shadow and light, you have to master both. Besides we know that Discipline is the strongest of the three specs, it would stand within reason to have a King be a master of the strongest priest spec.

Most holy priests still study the void to some degree. So it’s not crazy that he would know some shadowish abilities.

I know in game he’s used disc exclusive skills. I can’t think of a time he’s used them in other media, so maybe it’s just a gameplay thing? But I haven’t read every WoW book.

He did use Mind Control and he wanted to use Mind Blast. So it shouldn’t be far fetched (maybe through some tragic turn of events) that Alleria is able to talk him into using the power of the void.

You know its bad when Hearthstone story makes more sense than WoW’s.

I doubt Disc is “mastering” both so much as being jack of both trades, master of none.

Lets say Alleria loses it and become a Raid Boss.

When she’s over with, Locus Walker takes Anduin on a Void Vacation.

Thats one way to get rid of the boy for a while until he saves us all later.

Alleria is a Void Elf Huntress, not a Shadow Priest. Genn has Anduin’s ear too, when is Anduin going to master the Worgen Curse then?

Perhaps that is why Alleria fails.

She is an Elf Hunter - able to tap into the Void but not overwhelm it with control.

Anduin is a priest.

Just as Xalatath spoke of being in proximity of the Seat of the Pantheon as a success - Locus Walker might see success in new friends.

Perhaps he used Alleria as a stepping stone to find a Champion who could truly master the Void.

I imagine the only way for Anduin to go Shadow would be in a spur of the moment, horrifically traumatizing event. I don’t think he’d ever do it as a result of persuasion from someone else, like Alleria. I’m imagining something like: at a peace summit to sign an accord ending the war, Sylvanas acts like Sylvanas and instead kills Jaina and Genn right in front of Anduin. Seeing the two of them die, and blaming himself for everything that’s led to this, he erupts into a voidform and tears Sylvanas’ soul out and feeds it to the void.

It would have to be something completely over the top like that.

In 8.1 Genn left with the night elves, Jaina is busy with family matters, that leaves Velen and Alleria, oh and makes ya wonder for whom the bell tolls.

… what? Alleria is currently in Kul Tiras assisting with the war effort, and Velen is… I dunno, probably taking some time off after invading his own planet and watching his son die violently. Velen and Alleria are HARDLY the last ones left, given that Genn and Jaina are returning to report to Anduin far more frequently.

No bells are tolling.
