When was the last time you used the default UI?

Be honest. It had genuinely been since Wrath of the Lich King for me, like ~17 years. Crazy!

I’m kinda shocked at how much it’s improved and how it’s not as bad as I thought it was going to be. There’s definitely still much room for improvement, but it’s definitely also improved a lot in the ~17 years I hadn’t used it.

What about you?

When ElvUI was too buggy to use after a major UI update…so rarely. The last time I truly used it was in…Cata.

Its somewhat better, but its got a long way to go.

And yea, right now Ive been using the Default, modified by Plumber a bit with the loot window and the minimap.

Yeah, yesterday. I don’t use addons any more. Sometimes I miss Xperl, but the default unit frames are almost just as good now. At least for group content.

Besides unit frames the rest of my UI is default. z-perl until I can’t.

I use the base UI for the half of the UI Blizzard actually made customizable. The rest still needs addons, because they half baked it.

I only use the default UI.

Since like late BfA, when I accidentally wiped the custom UI addon I’d written for myself, had no backup, and couldn’t be arsed to write it from scratch or replicate it with existing addons.

I use a few more minor addons like WIM but nothing that overhauls the whole UI.

Since right before SL dropped. I left the game for over a year and when I came back, I decided to not chase end game and I didn’t see a need to use addons to change the UI.

I only use Cell for my healers

Everyone else uses default UI

I’m gonna suffer without Cell while healing though

That’s the norm for me. Last time I did a UI change was during TBC and it was because I played Warlock, and needed extra buttons for low mana casts.

Don’t know… Burning Crusade or Wrath. it has been so long.

However, since Dragonflight, I have been using some of Blizzard’s new edit mode stuff. I am not 100% happy with it and wish it gave more control over hiding some frames and I am using addons to provide additional UI still. I don’t have any combat addons installed at the moment though.

When I last played, which was Sunday afternoon.

Sure I have some addons, but I don’t need anything to set my bars up the way I want them.

I’ve always used the default UI. I just downloaded that addon that removed the griffons and that’s it.

I’ve never had the patience to sit there and customize my screen. I always just spent the money and got a big monitor. (Edit: well, not in 2004 but around 2007 forward.)

every day since 2004. I moved a few things around when they added the ability to in game but I don’t use addons for UI.

Strange thing is, I learned to play and never needed more. so many people are bucking now at the thought of having to learn to play it’s really funny

How long did it take you to get used to the switch?

I went cold turkey and just got rid of everything minus Plater/BigWigs for now, and I leveled a new character, a healer too, to get used to it. It didn’t take me very long at all to adjust to it, maybe a day or two at most, and I normally take awhile to readjust to changes.

All day everyday

2006 probably.

Last time was when the “Load Addons” button got flipped off automatically and I logged in without noticing. Quickly rectified.
