I took a 10 year break, and came back in April this year. I rolled a monk Abe on Quel’Dorei, and this guide shows he has several things completed for Draenor Pathfinder.
I’m finally realizing, I keep making alts and having WoD Pathfinder would be worth pursuing.
I’m curious what y’all think would be the optimal route to go to acquire WoD pathfinder. Should I lock Abe’s exp bar, and grind out at 110, use a 120 toon, or lock my latest alt’s exp bar when he hits 100, which was WoD max level, and grind out the rest?
V vOn my main account, I did it at 100 when the content was still new. Took a bit of time but there were many people to group with which is not the case now.
On this account I did it at 110 in 2-3 weeks at 60-90 minutes a day. One/two shotted almost everything. However I already had the Loremaster sub achievement almost completed.
Collecting the 50 treasures was the hardest part. Helped to be 110 and avoid aggroing stuff while collecting the treasures. The addons Handynotes and Handynotes_Draenor_Treasures helped a lot.
The Securing Draenor achivement needs some thought. You can get about half the quests from dailies in your garrison but will need Garrison resources to buy the rest. Do the dailies and accumulate Garrison resources then, after a week or two, purchase the rest with resources and you can do them all in one day on a 110/120.
Bear in mind that the various sub achievements of the pathfinder meta achievement can be done on different characters. Just leveling a character through Draenor should get most of the quests needed for WoD Loremaster done so you may want to do that part on whatever character, regardless of level, has progressed the most towards Loremaster.
Practically speaking, there’s no need to lock your xp just to do a Pathfinder achievement. You won’t gain as much, if any, xp from completing the required pieces, but it will be significantly easier the higher your level is, as you’ll be able to simply walk through any enemies that might stand in your way.
Like Nok, I did Draenor Pathfinder when the content was current, so I don’t know how easy or difficult things might be if you choose to use a lower leveled character now. The treasures are definitely the most frustrating part, and the reputation the most time-consuming.

Thanks for the input.
Below is what i see for Abe, who has a level 3 garrison already, which should make it faster/easier to do the Securing Draenor requirement.
I’m thinking of having my alt level/explore Talador and Nagrand. Since Abe is 77.8% complete in Arak, I’ll knock out the remaining quests there with him.
Also, since Abe is 110, I figure I’ll knock out the Frostfire and Gorgond exploration requirement pretty quick with him, and as you suggested the treasure part will be easier at this level.
I’ll have to look up a guide on raising the various factions. Any tips here?

The most reliable way to do the Order of the Awakened daily is through Tanaan Jungle treasures (if you have the quest in your log, they’ll also drop the quest item.) So, it’s a good idea to only go after the Tanaan treasures when you’ll get credit for the daily quest. (Otherwise, you’ll have to go rare hunting, which is harder without flying.)
If you’ve got lots of extra gold, you can look for Medallions of the Legion on the AH. (Wait for the Darkmoon Faire buff to use them, and if you’ve got access to build a level 3 Trading Post, that improves their value as well. You can actually grind out Saberstalkers by killing mobs on a higher level to get the first rep to get access to the Blueprint.)
I went back to WoD to get flying at 110 (max level at time).
The entire quest story and exploration I hammered out in 1 weekend. I needed to use Wholly/Grail addons to find missing quests and spent time in wowhead to get info on how to pick up those quests.
Then the jungle dailies took some time. Hour or so each day for several weeks.
The tanaan jungle order of a awakened faction has a daily quest to loot 10 Fel-Corrupted Apexis Fragment from either tanaan treasures or rares. There aren’t enough treasure chests in tanaan so you need to figure out a reliable way to get most of these 10 without using chests.
- chest in the cave in the swamp that spawns a rare when opened,
- rumble in the jungle rares.
- iron front
- the horde docks
- fel forge
Usually would get 10 frags from rares in those places.
For saberstalkers rep, there are three bosses in their camps that give 600 rep apiece. I believe their respawn timer is about 20 minutes. With saber stalker fangs, you can buy a couple of mounts and a tiger cub pet. The mounts are boars and are pretty meh but the cub pet is nice and sells well on the AH.
For 50,000 Apexis crystals, you can get a dreadwing mount in Tanaan which looks pretty good so when given a choice of dailies in Tanaan or for securing Draenor, pick the ones that offer the most Apexis crystals. You can also kill Supremus in Tanaan once a week for 1000 Apexis.
By the time I got flying on this account, I had about 20k Apexis so I ran Apexis dailies for a few days to get the mount. Was averaging 8-9k Alexis per day.
Unless something has changed, the bosses you’re referring to are summoned by purchasing the appropriate summoning item from the Saberon vendor using the Saber Stalker Fang currency items and using them at the arena (with something like a 5 minute cd between each summoning to prevent them from being summoned all together). Each one can only be summoned once per day per player, and only give their reputation reward once per day per player.
Thanks for tips on dailies!

That’s different. They are part of the Saberon arena quest. There are three non-quest bosses, two spawn in Saberon buildings, and one is off on a cliff by himself contemplating life.
