Overwatch have there IP Cross over…
Now Diablo having it IP cross over…
When world of warcraft get there?

We have had Mr T and Kung-Fu Panda.
What more could you want?
For the love of God, no.
Collaborations are the laziest form of creativity on the planet.
we’ve already had at least half a dozen.
how exactly is it lazy if you have to put actual work into it?
If we got WoW-themed stuff in Sea of Thieves, I’d actually go back over there and play it some more.
Played that game to death when it was ‘fresh’, and they removed the PvP ‘battleground’ (Sea Dogs) several years ago, so I mostly put SoT down- it’s still a great game, just more fun when you’ve got friends to play it with.
If you play Sea of Thieves alone, you’re just gonna be boarded and killed by bigger pirate groups, and there’s not much you can do as a singular player unless you’re ultra-skilled, which most are not lol.
Apparently people didn’t like to PvP much in a pirate game, lmfao.
But yeah, if I had so much as a Horde/Alliance sails and cannons, that’d be enough for me to play for a bit more lol.
They’re really adamant about WoW not being involved in many crossovers, only ever the ones underneath their own Blizzard branding like Overwatch and the Winston pets, Starcraft and Diablo, that’s basically all of them lol.
It’s weird, because if Blizzard was more open to this sort of thing, we’d have Onyxia in Monster Hunter Worlds back in the day, stuff like that. (Final Fantasy 14 did that exact thing- Rathalos is a mount and a boss battle in FF14, and in Monster Hunter, they took Behemoth from FF and made him a boss.)
So many people have heard of WoW or have played it, it’d only be a net positive for Blizzard if they did crossovers with it, I think personally.
At the same time though, I can always appreciate WoW for still being core to itself, and not ‘ruined’ by being shoved full of other IPs.
It’s always nice that WoW seemingly will always be WoW. (At this particular point in time anyway- things might change if they start hurting for money.)
Like, you’re not gonna log in one day and see people driving Toyotas because there was a crossover or something like that, at least not yet lol. That stuff ruins immersion.
And not seeing DK walking around in Guts armor would ruin the immersison not help fuel power fansty of Walk knight of death?
It depends on what it is.
FF14 has a lot of mounts and stuff from crossover events, but it’s a sillier game and takes itself less seriously.
If I saw someone riding the Cat bus from Totoro in WoW, then yeah lol I’d probably be like “What the hell”.
It’d fit just fine in FF14 though, because they already have that kind of stuff.
There’s a snowman mount that you ride inside of lol, it’s all silly.
It’s just the standard WoW has set for itself, really.
Most everything you see in the game, basically ‘fits’ with WoW’s artistic direction n’ all that.
Like the Mountain Dew motorcycle- it looks like something the Burning Legion would make and have. It fits.
This game sell you Big panda with tea set, I sure nothing sillier then that, but go on.
Pandaria exists, and it’s implied that’s where all that stuff comes from.
WoW has silly stuff too, but it’s simply ‘less silly’ than what I’ve seen in other games.
“Rule of Cool” is basically what WoW operates on.
Would it really be weirder then some mounts we have? Like there is a giant chicken mount.
A giant chicken probably made through alchemy or stuff like that. Easy explanation.
WoW doesn’t have any buses, we’ve got zeppelins and boats and some trains.
So, having a cat-bus would be super weird.
There’s just a precedent set for a lot of the stuff we do have.
Sure sure But Forgive me if I Sigh and feel left out when Some MMO do some cool pretty fun IP cross over while we get… well mini event lack lack luster fair like diablo event.
I mean I agree, WoW does lack crossovers compared to most other games I’ve played.
Which is insane considering how old and known WoW is.
Because it already exists in some other form or fashion. No need to import characters or themes that don’t gel with your own.
I think this is what is most important to me.
I don’t mind crossovers, in fact I enjoy them, they just need to be done tastefully.
I don’t want a Hello Kitty crossover with WoW, for example lol. Well, unless it’s like a pet or something, that’s fine.
But a Hello Kitty armor and mount, yeah idk, I think that’d be too far lol.
I mean I would enjoy an dwatch how Many blood elf Start cosplaying as 2b.
how import some bosses of that game into raids, be cool like mini raid of Remix/remaster of BFD.
Yoko Taro is hire gun and he done lot of cross over beforehand.
Beside if not Nier Drakenguard be finem, Moslty 1-2 (Never 3 don’t talk to me about 3)
We’ve already had some cross over events with other Blizzard IP.
Yeah Diablo how where they? Lack luster at best.
Hearthstone and Rumble(ish) as well. And if they were bad, why would you want more of them?
I want the Protoss and Zerg to invade Azeroth, and we gotta team up with the Terran to beat them back.
THAT would be a cross over event, and keep your buggy mounts.
