Topic really. Do you refresh them at 3 seconds, 7 seconds, etc for optimal damage and global usage? Most of the guides just say to maintain them… but if they fall off, that’s lost damage!
You can refresh them at 30% of the remaining time left on the DoT without being penalized, the remainder gets added to the refresh. So Moonfire at 6.6 seconds ( 22 * .3) Sunfire at 5.4 seconds (18 * .3), & Stellar Flare at 7.2 seconds (24 * .3).
I have my WeakAuras set up to have my DoT icons glow when I’m in the refresh window, but typically refresh at 5 seconds remaining on the timer, just depends on the situation.

Refresh anytime in the pandemic window which starts around 6-7 seconds, as long as you do it within that window you’re good. It doesn’t matter the exact second as long as you dont refresh them too early or late.
Just spam cast any dot to find the maximum duration, subtract the base duration and that difference is when you refresh.
