When to Interrupt on Zek'vir

I’ve tried this on three classes, Druid, DK, and Dev Evoker. My Brann is level 36, set to healer. The main issue I’ve had so far on Evoker, and to a lessef extent DK, is interrupting. Quell is 20 seconds. You cannot interrupt both every Carapace and every spittle. Brann removes spittle sometimes, but not always. I’ve found on evokee, he casts Regenerating Carapace within the Quell window, meaning if I interrupt the first spittle, he’ll always get a Carapace cast in.

So, what should I do? How often does Brann remove Spittle. How often should I interrupt or use Deep Breath to remove Spittle?

There’s already an entire thread going into this on the first page, I’d take a look there.

The loop you want to follow for spittle is this:

  1. Brann clenses debuff
  2. Deep breath to remove debuff
  3. Defensive until brann removes debuff
  4. Deep breath to remove debuff

Rinse and repeat for the whole fight. You never actually want to interrupt spittle. That is saved specifically for the heal.

Note: you will need to be scalecommander for this to work due to the cooldown reduction on deep breath. Ensure to make the cooldown of your deep breath as short as possible.

Also, Brann has about a 1 minute cooldown and ~20 yard range on his clense.

Incase you were wandering how deep breath removes spittle, it makes you immune to all loss-of-control effects when activated. The spittle is removed by anything that removes movement imparing effects specifically, or magical clenses (i.e. warlock’s singe magic). So for your druid, just simpily swap forms. For your death knight, use deaths advance.

I tried what you’re saying. Number 3 often gets me killed. I fele if I got a pvp trinket, the issues would be solced, guaranteed.

#3 also requires leveraging brann’s healing potions effectively. The healing potions leave a stackable heal over time on you, so you don’t want to just gobble up all of them at once or you run the risk of the hot falling off. The curio where brann can sometimes throw extra healing potions when you consume one is also really good for this.

This is alarming that the encounter is basically unbeatable as Flameshaper.

That hero class is utter garbage as Devoker. Needs an entire redesign.

In ??, only interrupt the heal.

I think it is doable as flameshaper, but you’ll likely be handicapping yourself. You would have to go out of your way to find extra stuff that can remove movement imparing effects (such as pvp trinket and potions as examples). You can still take Onyx legacy as flameshaper just for this fight.
