Leveling will continue to not be worthwhile. With or without the leveling squish.

Did we get our gold back when they made skills cheaper or removed buying them all together? did we get our gold back when they lowered the cost of mount training?
you buy heirlooms to level faster up to current content, so as long as your heirlooms work until 50 they are still what you paid for, they still give you an xp bonus up until current content
also, im willing to bet that heirlooms will be adjusted as well to only have 1 rank, at a baseline they will work from 1 to 50, since all leveling content is effectively the same level, there will be no use for level based heirloom ranks

I don’t care a bit about the gold I spent. If I can level a character from 10-50 in a day it’ll be worth it
