When playing Elemental, what is that thing that pops up on top of your character that looks like crushed rock with electricity through it?

I can’t for the life of my figure out what that pop up thing is signalling.

Sure I get the yellow bars pop up on either side is the lava burst. But sometimes this single pop up over the head happens which looks like crushed rock with some electricty through it. what the heck is that? there is no new buff that happens on my character either, just this random pop up thing. any help with it? thanks

If its the void looking one i think you are talking about, i believe that’s void ritual proccing

hmm not sure what the void ritual is, and i dont think its void looking.

It pops up over your head, and again its clearly electricity going through some rock.

Ah is it just a pop up on the screen like lava surge? It’s bright? If so that would be an indication of maelsrom being high enough for earthshock or earthquake

if it’s not earthen rage it’s a corruption/cloak proc

nope i dont have earthen rage activated

is it black?
prob void ritual then

void ritual makes a singular black rock with blue markings on it float above your head

no not black. you know the storm strike proc thing? it pops up in same location, but instead of the storm strike one, its brown rubble as a background then a big lightning bolt through it.

ahhhh ok so its just some sort of mealstrom alerter? whats the point of it

To alert you that your maelstrom needs to be spent. Because its almost full.

This is the correct answer.

It means hurry up and hit esrth shock because it will do the most damage.

Earth shock doesn’t do more damage based on maelstrom anymore :frowning:

I am really ok with that. It allows me to hold ES a little bit for an ideal moment, rather than feel compelled to use it at a specific number for optimal damage.

Especially if running SoP and UP. You can hold ES until UP is about to expire and line it up so the buff is less of a drop off.

Warriors have this type of thing too I believe to tell then when they have enough for their big ability that costs a ton of rage. Its a nice quality of life feature.

It tells you that you’ve accumulated 90 maelstrom.
