We were asking for class themed and not common zone themed per armor type.

I don’t want to look like Raiden, though. There are plenty of outfits already for those who do.
A) I like the “Class Set Themed After Zone” style.
B) A lot of these fan sets look uninspired with generic class iconography played completely vanilla which is boring - we’ve seen that style a dozen times aside from the more recently added classes.
C) Some of these just don’t look good.
Not trying to tear the guy down, because I think I’ve seen some of his work posted before by wowhead and I liked it before, but these ones just aren’t doing it for me.
Same. Allows for way more unique-looking sets this way.
Some won’t come out great but that’s the case no matter which way its done.
Mmm I think all the past sets do look like they were inspired by the expansion and also the classes mixed together. The new ones are just somehow boring to me. The color palette they used sort of limited them maybe. It’s all metallic colored.
They are very nice drawings and styles for sure. I would love to have some of them.
But 2D drawinging are VASTLY different from a 3D model that we need in game. Some of those small details just would not be practical or work at all when implemented in game. I think a lot of people lose sight of that fact sometimes.
YOU were asking.
I don’t care. I don’t think those sets look bad, but I don’t think they look great either. I could take them or leave them.
I mean c’mon. Ooooo antlers. No druid set has ever had that before or anything. Though I do like the owl, that is indeed a nice touch
I’d rather have class sets themed after the class and not the zones.
yes the zone sets can look cool, they can also look very dated after the tier is over and makes them very un appealing to transmog into.
just an example a set like blood fang or judgment is know by name and can be worn in any expansion, while a set like the boneset, from Dazar’alor looks almost corny out of its natural habitat.
but at the same time, I’m happy they are doing something with class gear. only having a armour set shared for all classes that armor type is about the laziest and crappies things I’ve seen in this game.
I’m sold on that druid set would incentivize me to push harder content if that existed something to work towards.
I always like class-based sets, rather than expansion- or zone-based ones. The best sets in the game were from vanilla and BC. After that, they began to look rather bland and just didn’t stick out. In the old days, someone wearing a full set stood out in the crowds in Ironforge and Stormwind. Now, not so much. There was a uniqueness to them, and one could what class they were by looking at them.
All i can see from the warrior set is how much it looks like runescape’s dragon plate armour
I’d rather class themed too instead of zone themes, but i’d also rather the uniqueness of the sets we’re currently getting than these concepts which are just slightly modified versions of sets we already have ingame
I do like a few of these, but floating books on pally shoulders doesn’t do it for me. Maybe a floating libram around the waist area though.
Problem is you just end up getting the same thing over and over again, then.
Monk being a great example. We already have multiple Raiden outfits for Monks, and here we are with a “class-themed” costume and - oh, look! It’s another Raiden outfit.
I dig the monk one, but I always hide helms. That dragon effect is
I would have to pass on the DH set but some of them look pretty nice. Maybe with high levels of detail.
At this point anything would look better than what Blizzard has vomited out for 9.2
I’m not keen on the Shogun Warriors look from what I’ve seen so far, but I really had fun wearing the 9.0 Castle Nathria set and 9.1 Korthia gear, I think they were both terrific. So maybe I’ll just stick with them.
I’ll give Blizzard this, the mythic Nathria set for mail armor was the first set in a LOOONG time that made me say “damn that’s a good looking hunter set”
just gonna say it, i thought that paladin one was the priest. also, these sets… we got these ones in the game already (more or less). i may dislike the new ones that’re comin but… these are’nt much better imo. but hey, that’s just me.
…mage one’s kinda cool.
That Death Knight set. Glorious.
