MOP was the last time I really truly felt connected with the way my character played.
I’ve casually enjoyed every other expansion, but MOP was special.
When it ended, it was painful, and I’m still not over it all these years later.
Part of me is ecstatic about it coming back. But unless the server is going to stick around when the expansion is “over” I don’t see myself even logging into it.
I love being able to log into play Classic Era servers… so can’t MOP(and preferably other versions of the game) get a similar treatment?
please?
I’m looking forward to see how this catastrophic mess plays out. We’ll have Cata → MoP (classic), BC → Wrath → Cata → MoP (anniversary), two versions of perpetual “Sacred Cow” vanilla (era and hardcore), SoD (classic+ whether people accept it or not), and retail.
What a freaking mess. All thanks to the opening of the 2019 floodgates, and I say that as someone who likes the Golden Trio.
I’d see them maybe hiiting wrath…redo.
SOM/SOD style. Cata did not sell well. we see how mop goes.
And the pservers among the more famous ones have been that eternal thorn in the side with wrath redo’s and wipes, do it all again.
And people keep staying for that. they have the data to show there is a market. Even if the market data is from the “bad” servers, its still data.
now people are asking for MOP era
when does the madness end

Yep. we have that at home lol.
see I like era’s being more…era. I like my rogue poison making. Paladin seal swapping.
Retail full, cata soon mop (retail light lol) gives that. We can leave era to tbc. Maybe wrath if pushing it.
All versions need an Era. And please a HC option as well.

No. Let them keep going until it reaches current retail.
I think it should keep progressing but I’d like to have at least one MoP server stay around afterwards. I wish they’d done that since TBC.
It leaves the possibility for the communities to decide to reroll “fresh” on whatever version of the game they want to. And it’s great for players like me who play super casually and feel left behind constantly.
