Who else actually hopes that the date for this expansion isn’t released until like even late next year? I know that’s a long time to deal with Shadowlands, but I feel the game could use just to have some more time in the oven. Get it ready and make some needed changes. Make classes more fun, etc. If it’s announced for like this Fall or something I am almost certain it is not going to be very good.
No, late next year is being stuck in 9.2 for 2 years. Might as well do maintenance mode if that’s the case and completely end the game.
Or just release wotlk classic to hold people over until then. Being impatient right now will not do the game any favors tbh.
It’s not going to be released this fall. I think that is why they are rushing to Wrath. It will give them a stop gap until the next expansion is ready.
No expansion has lasted 3-4 years, Shadowlands is already suffering so I don’t think they are going do that. At maximum, the next expansion is coming out early next year not “late”

From regular expansion cycle (looking back at previous expansions), the expansion should release in december 2022- january/feb 2023, don’t think they will be pushing it any farther than that.
Well, the company has also undergone a lot of changes as of late. With the Microsoft purchase and such. So, I wouldn’t hold it past it being the first this time. I don’t know if it’ll happen, and yeah, I think you are probably right, it probably will not. But if it did, I think it would be a good idea.
