Do you ever make an exact clone? I ask because I’m debating making both my Alliance Warrior and Shaman Dark Irons but there’s only one look I like for Dark Iron.
I try to change hair, eyes, and skin color, though it really depends on the characters overall theme. There are however only a few faces I tend to like, so those usually end up being the same regardless of class.
I click a few arrows and call it good. Its more about the skeleton/frame and how the armor sits than any true customization
I personally never understood ppl who play alts. Leveling is the worst part of retail WoW and why would anyone bring themselves to that kind of monotonous activity is beyond me.
Achievement hunting is the only reason I see, but even then I still don’t understand it.
I know what you speak of and it is very normal to get attached to an appearance. I always get pulled hair with horns on my Draenei since I started this game.
IMO still jump in with a different one and see if you like it after 3 days.
Different strokes for different folks. Weird concept right?.
Like how people limit themselves to one character
I have a Pandaren monk Alliance side who was initially identical to this one, but I decided to make him a female just for the lolz.
Actually thought about doing the same thing. I don’t like how Female Pandaren look personally.
I pretty much always use the same customisation on every character of the same race. Doesnt even matter what race.
Once i find the look i like most, thats the one i stick with.
In general, I don’t either. But I love how my female Nui looks.
I never understood ppl that don’t have alts.
I sorta do. When I make an Alliance version of a Horde toon I make them identical stat-wise so it’s easy to play and I don’t have lern new talents.
It’s better these days with more options available but back in the Stone Age most of my characters were almost identical with others of the same race. Especially like female Trolls for example where there was only one face option that didn’t look angry.
I started doing that for some of my characters too. I’ve been strictly female characters for almost 20 years and recently I’ve been turning some of them male.
I don’t know what my hang up was for so long. I’m sometimes forced to play male characters in other games and it didn’t really bother me. I loved my Joe the Barbarian in D2.
I have a handful of female toons but most of my characters, and all of my mains, are male. I also realized a few years ago a lot of them are made in my own likeness in one way or another. Most of my toons are gingers.
We just all have our own preferences and ways. Sometimes rolling a toon that is drastically different from our standard way can make gameplay refreshing though.
It really is. My male HMT warrior and dwarf hunter are becoming two of my favorite alts. To me it’s almost like playing a brand new race.
If leveling is monotonous for you then you’re doing something wrong.
Try leaving the zones you always play and go somewhere you haven’t been in awhile.
I know plenty of boring human/belf/velf players that make the same character over and over and over… And honestly they’re usually just making a sharp faced, knife eared, purple/skinny version of themselves cause they lack any and all creativity.
Yeah, this is a problem with some of the races…
I tend to gravitate to one face on some races myself so you wouldn’t be alone making the same face. Try different hairstyles too - sometimes that’s enough to get you a different looking character
No, it actually frustrates me when I can’t make a look I like that looks completely different from my already existing characters. I have a couple of characters that I consider in customization limbo and I won’t like them 100% until new customization is added that I can use to make them look distinct.
