FSR render scaling is currently broken (reducing it reduces fps rather than increasing it) and seemingly abandoned (has been broken for a while). So they might as well bring out the big guns. Add frame gen too.
If they won’t fix FSR do you really think they will add DLSS?
Why would they support a standard that not everyone can use? At this point they should be adding Vulkan and keeping FSR updated.

Still why support a standard that is not going to function on all GPU brands? I mean if Nvidia pays them to add DLSS fine…

DLSS is known to be superior, so have FSR for those who can’t use DLSS and DLSS for those who can.
AMD has frame generation and it works wonders, I’ve used it in Marvel Rivals and it significantly boosts frames.

I am pretty sure I have heard of Vulkan burning up or bricking GPUs. That may have just been an issue in the past.
Never heard of that issue just from a graphics API. There would have to be more things going on. I mean Vulkan support works better cross platform and MS is mostly likely not releasing DX13 anytime in the next decade…
People started embracing it for a few likes on social media before that. At least the 2 FPS is useful.
DLSS can net me 15 - 20 extra fps just on the quality setting, which to me is significant. If you add in frame gen it gets even better (it is not the input latency fest it used to be).
I had understood the WoW is CPU limited. If the CPU is the bottleneck can DLSS help with that?
No, upscaling is just for GPU. But for me, at 1440p if I want 120fps I have to turn down settings and then it isn’t even 120fps lock. I don’t want to lower settings more. It isn’t a VRAM issue but a general usage issue (3070). Sometimes it seems like an engine bug cuz it’ll say I have headroom on both GPU and CPU and drop fps, other times it will be the GPU saying 99% usage and frames drop, which makes sense. DLSS would solve this. FSR would work too but less image quality and not as much fps gain.
