I can’t prove it for sure but most Devs who post claim to be Horde mains.
So you can prove it, but you still say it with certainty…
Anything it’s fair when it comes to justifying your own shortcomings, even making stuff up, as long as it doesn’t involve looking at your own side.
I can’t confirm those things what the other poster said but there are a few things I’ve noticed namely the little things which the popular devs like Metzen used to do: Roar for the Horde and make fun of the Alliance.
In a way I thought they were punching themselves in the face as it also plays a factor into people deciding what the “cool” faction is when it comes to mass sheep.
Not that it might have contributed to the population imbalance but there’s a very good chance they most likely contributed to making the Alliance look like a bad choice.
I think the quote was “The Horde is waiting for you.”
Metzen’s first and favorite character, he said, was a human paladin
Hasn’t helped that devs keep punching themselves by promoting one faction publicly.
Yeah well, he seems to have literally nerfed enthusiasm for the Alliance by his stunts.
Which is why, when he posted pictures of his characters on twitter, it was that of his human paladin…
You… don’t even know the context of that and even who said that, do you?
The story is so horde bias and yet the main sources of story are
Jaina, Bolvar, Tyrande, Uther and Anduin
It’s part of behavior they’ve shown. Screaming for the horde, slides on PowerPoint that make jokes about alliance. Content scrapped for alliance to give horde theirs. A blizzard hired band calling all alliance players a derogatory name.
Then the lack of story for alliance in game. We mainly have all of our hero’s because all of our hero’s haven’t done much until legion arrived.
Well no one’s gonna look at twitter and say “oh boy a picture of a Human paladin let me go to the Alliance”.
People respond to enthusiasm and passion they see in real life in face to face events a lot more compared to a random picture. It does little to eliminate the fact that he didn’t try to save the tanking reputation of the Alliance with his nonsense at blizzcon events
It was on Zuul and only ever used once to help dispel him sending everyone off the platform. But the same thing can be done by priests. You don’t need Belves for the mechanic.
The nerfs to Alliance racials in Castle Nathria while letting Horde racials through for Zul were crap. The Alliance guards in Najatar being awful compared to Horde guards and never being fixed but the moment the Alliance had an advantage in the Maw it was nerfed. Ion has shown time and time again that he has no concern about the Alliance. Ion has done a very poor job on racial balance.
Given the choice (AWC and MDI), top players go Alliance for racials. Even if it weren’t the case for raiding, that’s still 2 out of 3 of Ion’s “pillars of endgame” that apparently favor Alliance racials.
I think faction balance just snowballed in favor of Horde and the only solution would be to just remove the faction divide entirely or at least for Raiding, M+, and Arena.
They’ve always put in these oh so innocent looking differences which seem nothing on the surface but overtime it adds up to pointing the obvious where they want you to play.
most recent example : Alliance allied race unlocks forcing you to do dungeons to unlock them
That was Ion about people wanting to play High Elves on the Alliance.
As has been pointed out the belf racial was not the only thing that could dispell while the dwarf racial could completely negate huge chunks of damage.
Drinks from cup labeled Alliance tears
Oh hey, remember when you guys had the top PvP racials for three to four expansions? I mean I memba doing bgs and every class that could be human was human. How about that 30% wpvp bonus you got for just turning on WM? How about you guys get more honor for losing a big than if you win?
What people are pointing is that when it comes to Horde, they are generally let off by passing it as a subtle thing (Goblin Jumps on Kiljaeden preventing huge chunks of wipes and damage) but when it comes to Alliance they become strict devs who don’t let no bugs be free.
Do not give me that. The Alliance was forced to have a certain class for Zul while the Horde could bring anyone they wanted. I am trying to remember the rocket boots raid fight as well. Horde racials that benefit in raids are simply allowed to go through while Alliance ones are nerfed.
Well I don’t know what kind of dumb cup you’re drinking from but a certain cup labelled “Muh Leaders” seems to be the gift which keeps giving
