I tried Googling, no dice.
my best guess is mid 2021 with the hult on manufacturing right now and all
Look at this guy asking about a $1200+ GPU while I’m hoping I can get a 3060 card for $300ish. Gotta have that 120hz huh?
Hehe. I guess it depends on if he plays other graphically-demanding games and want the best visual experience.
I scratch my head with those who say they only play WoW but want such a card.
Helps being versatile, yeah.
The 2080 ti looks less of a sure purchase every day.
the GeForce RTX 2080 came out in September 20, 2018
the GeForce RTX 2080 Ti came out in September 27, 2018
ive read news stuff saying aug/sept for 3080 so my guess is later in the month or next month
Sometimes I forget there’s a new “generation” of computer hardware every 2 years.
I don’t know if I can confirm, but Computex 2020 is September.
Nvidia/AMD may release the new cards then.
So do the hardware companies. They try to catch up though, and hastily slap a new name on the same shat and they make it work out.
example: Skylake for YEARS, Pascal for YEARS, Polaris for YEARS
AMD specifically sometimes announces new cards during Apple’s WWDC in June because AMD is the GPU vendor of choice for Macs. Usually only workstation or mobile GPUs get announced then, but it’s still interesting because it can provide clues on where the rest of AMD’s lineup is headed.
