As fun as that sounds it wont happen due to both MoP and cata being pve flops and that is the main thing that drives this game

To mention MoP and Classic in the same sentence is criminal unless you are comparing the old amazing games to the awful retail games.

There are 3 Classic games Vanilla, TBC and WotLK. These are the pinnacle of WoW.

Cata was the transition expansion of bad ideas shifting towards the Retail mentality that killed WoW. MoP was the death of WoW and full Retail mode that people hate. So there won’t be Cata Classic there just won’t as there is no excitement for it and MoP is far worse than Cata so it definitely won’t happen.

I’d suggest finding a MoP private server for the 5,000 people in the world that actually like MoP.

Cata draught was the first wound to wow, it never recovered after releasing 4.1 with no new raid tier and 2 reworked 5 mans.
MoP while the pve wasn’t popular, the pvp was.
WoD was the start of the retail dumb mode with garrisons gathering, mission table, the nerf to professions, now you the commander special snowflake instead of nameless adventurer 459,683,892.

Then they straight abandoned the xpac as a whole.

But yeah this is basically correct

I liked Cata rogue the best of any expansion. But I wasnt a fan of the forced tree spec which lead to what we have today.

Yeah it was the end of specialization fun times

We all have different views but the reason why I say MoP is full retail dumb mode is because that is when they removed Talent trees and the core of WoW to begin full forward with systems. Cata was the start of the transition into MoP where all really bad things began.

Something they should do and might do with SL since 9.1 is a flop. Blizz just can’t retain customers anymore from their bad decisions and design. People just want to play a game where the company actually cares about it’s customers. Which is why FF has become so popular. Then Ashes looks like it will be amazing and the Lead Dev Steven Sharif is exactly how a someone running a game should sound.

Blizz has to do something dramatic and change their entire philosophy if they are going to survive.

Yea I don’t think anyone can argue that point. You can’t justify having Classic go past WotLK

This is why I call it the transition expansion. Instead of the Devs designing a game for us to play how we want, they started designing games forcing us to play how they want. There is no worse way to design a game.

But we still had some form of customization and rpg in the form of professions still being impactful.

Oh you mean “we aren’t making a game for everyone”

Yeah that made me a little giddy to read.
I tried their stress test BR game, apocalypse.
That was early version stuff, but man it was fun

Yeah I don’t quite like how that started happening.
Like stopping double healer 3s and stuff like that. I just want freedom of choice in that.

Your actually trolling LOL, no way this man just said “Mop was the death of WoW”

MoP was trash. Cannot wait for Classic BFA.

You clearly don’t understand what I have said then. MoP was the death of WoW as it totally changed gaming philosophies and implemented the bad ideas that gave us modern Retail and it’s dumpsterfire it is. The Retail model started in MoP.

You must also forget how widely hated MoP was from the announcement of the trailer to all the changes. It wasn’t well received, MoP was an april fools joke gone wrong. Perhaps next time they shouldn’t base the theme of an expansion on an actual joke, that didn’t help.

MoP is the only expansion I didn’t buy at release because I saw the writing on the wall, many of my friends did too. It was the first time I was unsubbed from the game. It all started in MoP, the downfall of WoW and for that again it’s the expansion I hate the most because of what it did too a great game.

Your opinion about mop is just PAINNNN in the PvP Arena Forums. Painnnn

Many feel that Cata was the last WoW expansion. Everything afterwards just isn’t WoW, so no there won’t be a MoP Classic :man_facepalming:

You might not like my opinion but it’s the most popular one. MoP failed in everyway and started the Retail model. It was an incredibly unpopular expansion and the numbers showed that.

MoP is the only expansion on release that had lower numbers than the previous expansions last patch. It was a literal lul in WoW. Then WoD had more subs than MoP ever did because everyone was happy MoP was over. Unfortunately we all didn’t know that Blizz as a company was in trouble and couldn’t finish WoD.

However MoP started it all, the death of WoW and the start of Retail.

I’ll bring back my BM hunter for MOP classic.

Even if the messenger is a clown he’s not entirely wrong. MoP started that awful minigame of trading cds and introduced so many redundant abilities they went nuts with the WoD prune.

Can’t blame only 1 expansion but MoP is part of the decline.

there won’t be a mop classic. I would enjoy it too, but from a business perspective in terms of where the game started to decline subscriber-wise, I imagine that Wrath-Classic will likely be the last classic.

guess everyone forgot about kill command + blink strike for 90% of your HP while stampeding monkeys maul your face

…and double chaos wave meta 1shots

…and TFB heroic strikes doing literally more damage than your max HP

…and cast while moving destro locks

…and like 40 different CC DRs so you spent 90% of the game just watching

When Activision stepped in on development after Wrath. Now we’re playing World of CoDcraft.

Cata was okay but MoP was when everything started to really go down hill.

That’s because they were broke and RLS was insane. Double bomb. Insane healing. Legendary weapons. Nothing to date has been as broke as RLS was in respect to comps that received almost no nerfs and rogues were part of that problem.

Cata was the start of disrespect to the playerbase releasing a major content patch that didn’t have a new raid and just 2 5ams that use to be raids.
