I’d already be satisfied if we just got portals and a flight point. The fact that only the Horde has a flight point in that zone, plus free access after everything that happened, I still find… interesting.

I mean all it really needs is an auctioneer and portal from Stormwind and it’s good to go, yeah?

Seriously, probably never.

Silvermoon got an overhaul because:

  1. It’s now an expansion content hub and I can see no reason for Gilneas to be a content hub as it’s just a regular human city.
  2. Current Silvermoon lives on the Outland map and has been a bit of an “eyesore” for the developers. They want it to be part of the Eastern Kingdoms map proper.
  3. It’s a historically relevant location unlike the Exodar which was invented in TBC just to introduce the Draenei.

I think past the changes you get after the liberation of Gilneas questline in DF doubt we’ll see anything else.

Might happen if they take an interest in revamping Silverpine/Hillsbrad, but I don’t think it’ll ever be designed to be close to a faction capital.

If they do accurately redesign both Alliance gets a CHONK of territory (Southshore is already reclaimed lore wise &) - the path from the gates of Gilneas to Thoradin’s Wall could be both faction friendly.

But it won’t happen :dizzy_face:

The Night Elves have had just about everything taken from them. It would be nice if Ashenvale, Darkshore and Teldrassil finally got a revamp, or at least if the thing with the tree got set in motion like Tyrande mentioned at the end of DF. But when I think of the devs, that probably won’t happen in the next 10, if not 20 years.

Turning it into a full hub makes sense since the nearest Alliance specific city to Quel’Thelas is Ironforge (technically). We could work out of SMC in the neutral hub, or back further out to Light’s Hope Chapel, but it would be nice to have an Alliance hub deeper into the northern part of the EK. :blue_heart:

Yeah I feel like it would just get the Stromgarde treatment. A quick touch up. Unless if they somehow come up with a reason to set up an expansion in that part of EK. Can’t imagine a storyline that can carry an expansion though.

Although I do wish they’d just set up portals to SW/Org in every minor city + have a basic bank/AH. I’d park some alts there.

Think Gilneas has a bank now, but you have to fly between SW/Gilneas. There’s only a ship there to/from Bel’ameth.

Funnily enough Bel’ameth has a portal to/from SW but no bank lmao

to be honest what is their to revamp? unless they retcon exploring kalamdor darkshore is a dead blighted hellscape, the retconned the mission tables saying they pushed the horde to the barrens since they still own half of Ashenvale. and they blew their shot putting Bel’ameth where Teldrassil used to be.

Maybe after The Last Titan. I can’t see them overhauling Gilneas as it’s basically background at this point in time.

Why would they waste time on overhauling a dead city that hardly anyone is ever in? If they are its for such a brief amount of time its not even a blip on anyones played time statistics.
