It has been 7 months since shadowlands came out. Even if it’s not going to come out in a month or 2. Give us a rough date please. I have been waiting in halfhill long enough

No, this is the kind of thing that leads to crunch culture. Allow devs some space to actually implement the patch right without resorting to gilded age working hours.

The joke is…the “patch” will have some content - most of which will be a array of skinner boxes…I cannot believe they are ALREADY bringing back the very unenjoyable “zone invasions” of visions of Nzoth…

Blizzard is out of chances with me. We told them in alpha these systems were too complicated and they couldn’t balance them.
We told them we want CONTENT. Not systems inside of systems like conduit energy.
We told them we needed an alt friendly exp because WoD was the last time we could reasonably play alts without weeks and weeks of catch up.
They didn’t listen. They arrogantly pressed on and doubled down on some of the worst ideas we have seen to date. Then they swapped their focus to recycling BC.

At least it’s outdoor content that casual players like me can do and actually like doing. You can skip it if you don’t like it.

The company is internally in disarray after losing so many key employees. And after rounds of mass layoffs and executives bailing, what happens in this situation is the best people at all levels start looking for other jobs and find them. This leaves a company seriously understaffed, mostly with less competent employees. It also makes hiring problematic, as good people won’t be looking at it as a long-term employment situation.
Two possible reasons they aren’t giving us a date:
- They still have no idea how long it’s going to take;
- It’s going to take so long that people would unsub meanwhile.

I don’t even know that there is anyone working on this game. We haven’t even seen any hot fixes even though there are some terrible bugs that need to be fixed.

Why did you decide that Shadowlands doesn’t count as a content update? It’s been a long time, but Shadowlands was new content at the time of its release.

Agreed that covenants are awful and Blizzard stuck their fingers in their ears instead of listening to anyone other than Ralph.
However… Shadowlands DID ship with more world content than any previous expansion. So saying “we want CONTENT” turns out to be incorrect, that’s not what players want.
SL is the one update since 8.3 came out 17 months ago.

Much of that content feels unrewarding, pointless, and not fun. Why should players want to play content that appears to exist for no reason but to bloat up the appearance that there is something to do?
