When I was a kid

I really liked music. I used to play guitar. A lot. For hours a day, in fact. Sometimes weeks would go by and I’d just be learning whole albums on guitar. I loved it

I’d replay all my favorite songs over and over. I’d go on walks all around town with my iPod mini just blasting music. I got really good at guitar. I was kind of amazing, in fact. Unfortunately I wasn’t ever really social so I never started a band or did anything collaborate

Today, I’m pretty weathered. Eventually I broke out of my shell and started going to parties and socializing. I started drinking and gaining weight. I started playing guitar less and walking around less. Today, I need to work out lmao. Cool thing is I don’t need to save my music on an mp3 device. I could go on a walk or to the gym and listen to whatever song I want thanks to the leaps in technology. Today, if I wanted to, I could learn any song on guitar and I’d have such better resources than when I was a kid. And I tried. I went out and I got myself a guitar. And

It’s… Just. Not clicking. I learned a few songs. And when I was younger I’d be so happy I learned a whole song. Today it’s just… A few chords here. A solo there. Song done. And… Nothing. Next song. Blah blah blah. And… Same feeling. Maybe a slight hint of pride, but overall nothing to what I experienced as a teenager

Thank you for all those fond memories, 6 vibrating strings of magic. There will always be a place in my heart you can set your hearth to

Cool story, sis.

When I was a kid, I memorized Paul Revere’s Ride and recited it for my class

As a teenager i use to slap box all the kids in school. I was pretty good. But my mom would never sign me to box because my dad was a pro boxer. Now im in the IT field.

I always wanted a pet monkey when I was a kid but my parents wouldn’t let me have one. Never did get around to it as an adult.

I see this with kids all the time as a Horse Trainer. They can learn an incredible amount of stuff in a very short period of time and become really good at it.

In addition to just being young and plastic, I think their edge is they aren’t worried about anything other than having fun.

Adults are the ones who ruin it by trying to make everything into a performance chart lol.

WoW will be different this time around for sure.

It won’t be magical or feel like an adventure this time. If you mess up on one of the notes, everyone will be upset because you’ve known this song for 15 years. The game won’t have the same fun tone as it used to.

Classic will still be decently fun, but I’m adamant that we need to infuse it with that sense of magic and adventure sooner rather than later.

When I was a little kid I saw KISS live in 1975 and they were awesome. I saw them again (original four) in 2000 and they were even more awesome even though they played the exact same 25 year old songs.

Probably one of my all time favorite bands. Paul Stanley seems like a legit good guy too.

I had a KISS lunchbox as a little kid, I was so proud of that stupid thing lol. Even in Cowboy hat wearing yes ma’am saying Central Texas we loved KISS. Great band
