Why does it revert back to level 1?

Are you sure you purchased a 25 pet?

If yes, sounds like a bug. There are many.

Nevermind, it seems you do. I can’t tell you why then unless what you’re buying isn’t 25.

It defeats the purpose of becoming a Pokemon Master if you just buy them max-level…

With the way they stack pets in the AH, it’s a bit confusing. It will show a pet as 25 then when you click on it, there are a bunch of them and only a few are 25. Is it possible you purchased a level one?

Blame Blizzard for their stupid reputation farming design that forces you to do every quest to move the bar 1%…

Not everyone uses pets for the sake of playing pet battles

Thanks all, I did multiple purchases and none of them stayed at level 25. I was very clear to choice the ones that were level 1. I did different pet types to be sure.

I’ve noticed this stacking issue with other types of items, as well.

I tried buying a pair of normal quality leather boots from the Hellfire Citadel set to unlock the transmog on my rogue, but the auction house provided me with a mythic quality, instead.

The auction house seems to just be displaying one of the times that are listed at given price. If there are multiple items of different quality (or pets at different levels), it will probably sell you whichever had been posted the longest.

Try reporting this in the bug forum if this is happening over and over.

You might have to mouse over the one you are buying to make sure its 25. If this did happened then its a bug and should be fixed.

After you select the initial listing on the AH, you then get a list of all the options available for that item. You have to specifically pick the one you want.

For example prior to prepatch dropping, if you looked at the boe drops from nya that had corruption on them, you couldn’t just look at the initial listing of the item type. You had to click on it to get the list of all them available and look through each to see which corruption effect they had.
