During wotlk when wow refused to do anything about botters in BG’s because raiders didn’t want to earn gear.

When they took PVP vendors because raiders didn’t want to earn gear.

I put a key together this afternoon and a 2.1k Druid DPS signed up.
We started the group and after looking at his DPS slot on the meter, I realized he was Feral.

Not cool.

When I got a 425 ilvl TF ring that sims lower than my 400 ilvl rings. Imagine if Reforging was still in the game…

Back in MoP, the last piece I needed for my healing set was Prismatic Prism of Pride. I raided Siege every week for a year to look for it.

I finally got it on a random transmog run two expansions later.

I’m still miffed they took away the guild perk ‘The Quick and the Dead’. Being able to Run back to your body faster while dead was so nice.

Cannot tell a story if I have to redact the most important part.

Fine. I was a brand new tank (on my Demon Hunter) and I had not studied the fight, the last boss (Archimonde I think?). He accused me of (and I probably did) turning the boss the wrong way. It contributed to a wipe, I think? Anyway, he got a case of the gripes and complained vociferously about it. My guild was attacking him for attacking me and I was barely paying attention to him because I was trying to listen to instructions.

We eventually downed the boss, despite my suckage and the cretin complaining about my learning curve.

Can’t say I was “insulted,” but “disgusted” comes to mind:

Logging back into the game (maybe Legion?) after a long break only to see EVERYBODY, and I mean EVERYBODY fully decked out in epics AND legendaries. I get some were probably attained through a quest line but there is no way everyone in the city are god-tier.

Turns out the game went into “participation trophy” mode and I was disgusted by how far removed the game was from core MMORPG philosophies (and good game design).
