When exactly the Horde was named the Horde?

Also i would like to know if was at the moment they drank the blood of Mannoroth, or before or after that. Sources and quotes are welcome. Thanks in advance!!

I think it was an orc thing you get the clans together you have a horde

I believe the term Horde was thrown around for years on Draenor in reference to the various orc clans. The uniform Horde came about later on, when many of the clans merged under Grommash’s pact. You then get offshoots, like the Fel Horde of Kargath.

It’s a flux phrase really.

The Horde is basically what orcs called a united military front, with one former around a thousand years before the dark portal to war with the ogres (they “won” in the sense they told the elements the ogres were stealing from the throne of elements, causing the furies to raze the Gorian capital)

It was Ner’zhul who came up with the name to unite what had previously been a group of scattered, occasionally warring tribes under one banner. And this is long before Mannorth. But essentially he united the tribes to take on what the “ancestors” had warned them to a common threat…the Draenei.

The original Horde was made up of the united clans on Draenor when the Gorian Empire was threatening the balance of the elements, and the world. The Orcs united into the Horde to fight the Ogres, alongside the elements. Its in Chronicles Volume I, I believe.

They never actually referred to that as a Horde.
