I believe so. Even if they haven’t penciled it in. I only wanted to make sure that folks took it into consideration when mapping this out. I hate to be late.
We haven’t had any substantial new content in a while. Last wing of S1 raid ~2 months ago (Dec 12th. Even if you only count LFR, that was still almost a month ago - ~Jan 16th). So it’s already been 1-2 months since last major content, depending on how you look at it.
We just recently got 10.0.5 but let’s be honest, that didn’t really offer anything new new. No new story progression. No new gameplay… just some expanded xmog by doing activities that were already present.
Late Spring, early summer is another ~4 months away. That seems kind of excessive for next content.
The link says “Spring”, which is normally Mar 20, 2023 - Wed, Jun 21, 2023 range of the year. Given the above, I’m really hope it’s more around late March / Early April… I (and I think most people, probably) have already been in standby/grind mode for a while now (consider most players only do reg raid, some heroic level. Not too many trying to really push mythic raiding…)
So… I sure don’t see myself grinding WQs and M+ for the next 4 months… already trying to justify logging in / paying sub at this point, vs. taking a break until 10.0.7. I’m sure a lot of people probably are, too.
It would definitely be in Blizz’s best interests to get it out the door early Spring vs. late Spring, or else they will likely see a significant drop off in subs for a month or two. (Not so) incidentally… this is likely a big reason why they keep pushing for 6m/1yr sub commitments, lol.
2 months from 10.0 to 10.0.5, probably another 2 months til 10.0.7 (late March early April), and then 2 months from then til 10.1 (late May / early June). Lines up with their roadmap too.
Sounds like you don’t understand what “personal” means. The fact that no new content has been released in about 2 months, and end of Spring would put next content drop at 6 months, is objective fact, not personal.
Whether or not people are happy grinding the current content is a different story. And on that note…
It’s also objective fact that most players do not engage in mythic level raid content. Go to any raid progression site (or WoW armory) for evidence.
I am not arguing the truth of your words for the people that they apply to. I’m just saying those people do not represent the average WoW player.
Right. The $64k question though is when will 10.0.7 actually drop though? The roadmap just says “Spring”, which is anywhere from ~1mo-4mo from now, depending on when in Spring. Early Spring? Mid Spring? Late Spring? Who knows.
Yes, for the nth time now, I understand the next content drop is 10.0.7. That is not the point at all. Maybe actually read what I’m saying before responding.
