When does leveling as a Warrior get better?

This is my first warrior and having so few attack options while also having Rage build so slowly is very quickly killing my desire to keep playing it. I have heard for years that leveling a Warrior is the worst and I’m starting to see why.

I know its worth it in the end, but man its hard to want to a level class when you aren’t having fun. What level does it get better?

Are you playing classic?

If you’re on retail then you’ll get more abilities with almost each level. What spec are you leveling in?

I leveled a new one for grins and while you don’t have many abilities I was still topping dps meters. So their damage is fine, but honestly a lot of classes have next to no abilities early on.

The mistake though is warriors don’t get a lot of their mobility til later, which is a mistake in my opinion because leaping and charging all over the place is half the fun

Aint that the truth, waiting until what…28 I think till you get heroic leap was a big oversight by the design team.

No. Retail. And I’m using Fury.

Warrior isn’t the only one in that boat - I was leveling my rogue before the patch, after the patch it was level 30ish. It lost all of its energy passives it felt VERY VERY slow. untill i got them back at like 42 and like 46?

Well then give it a couple more levels. Fury has a fantastic build spend feel that will have you almost always pressing something. I leveled my fury warrior long before this patch so I don’t know how leveling fury feels now.

It seems that Blizzard is trying to not overwhelm new players, by giving them one little ability at a time to learn how to use it. Probably frustrates seasoned players to no end.

Ok, just looked it up, level 19 is your happy place. You get Rampage at that level.

Warrior brother, seriously, I can’t understand your complains on warrior leveling experience on retail or even classic.

Prot has extreme mobility in dungeons and decent survivability in open world. Fury has fun and entertaining fast-pacing combat. Arms has… um, well, okay - arms can be kind of boring during leveling… UNTIL YOU GET THAT OVERPOWER IN YOUR FACE!

This character that I’m posting from is my 5th warrior on bnet account, and I’m totally loving this amazing class in each and every expansion starting from Cataclysm when I have discovered the Warrior Way for the first time. I even enjoy playing these mad bad boys in Classic, no jokes here.

Stop being shy - strafe around your foes, charge em, intercept em, heroic leap em, spell reflect IN THEIR FACE, execute those miserable souls, unleash the roar of a dragon or cut em in half with the furious BLADE STORM!

Man, this class is the absolute best class in the game in any version of the game. It is the most entertaining, most fun and most dynamic in the whole World of Warcraft. This one is fairly easy to learn and hard to master - your possibilities are limitless.

So, cmon, cheer up! Get those levels UP! Unlock that deadly arsenal of skills Warrior grants at your disposal! Once you unlock even 50% of it’s potential and amazing mobility - you will NEVER enjoy playing any other class ever again!

It ain’t matter if you are a hard-rock undead or a fluffy little panda girl - by playing a WARRIOR you are superior to each and every class in the game!

In a meantime, I suggest you to kick that motivation of yours with some GLORIOUS WARRIOR PVP VIDS on YouTube. Gforce, Klinda, Voodoochille, Getz, Bajheera (man, that FURY OF ARMS Cata series) - just get into that Warrior section on WarCraftMovies if you ever loose your motivation.

GLORY TO WARRIOR BROTHERS!

I don’t see why you’re having trouble with Fury, or especially with rage generation in Fury. If you’re questing, get Double time and use it to chain mobs. Use Victory Rush to keep yourself alive after each mob kill.

Rage isn’t a constraining thing in Fury because you have a builder-spender playstyle and virtually no empty GCDs. Rage is only used on Rampage and is a oneshot rage dump. It’s not hard to play on a basic level.

You can even use Fresh Meat to enrage on the first cast of Bloodthirst on each mob you hit.

I’m straining my brain as to why you’re having difficulty with leveling in Fury and coming up with naught.

No, it doesn’t. This isn’t BFA.

It actually got better just a couple levels after I made this thread. The rage issue went away entirely and I was able to just strut around without a care. It was great.

Honestly, you gotta be doing something wrong because fury is so smooth and well designed right now. I am just flying through levels and having an absolute blast.

Gets better once you learn Tactician at 34, and unlock your 45 talent row.

I’ve leveled 3 warriors since prepatch and I love it. I do understand the lower level frustration but once I got whirlwind that didn’t cost rage and actually gave rage it got much better. I don’t remember the exact level that came, but once I got that I had a blast. I like spinning in circles.

You just need Crusader enchant - it smooths out the damage gaps and provides enough healing to make things pump much faster

I leveled as Arms.

10-35 you 2 shot stuff with overpower - mortal strike
35-45 you can AoE cleave everything down with slamwind talent and sweeping strikes
45-50 sucks everything takes 15+ seconds to kill and you have no regen you basically have to single pull normal mobs and high health mobs/quest bosses can come close to killing you.

Warrior probably has one of the smoothest 10-40 leveling experiences as Arms.

Oh man leveling warrior in classic…
Miss. Miss. Dodge. Parry. Miss. Block. Miss. Crit for 250

I tried arms, but I just wasn’t feeling it. Fury feels just really fun and nonstop.

No downtime. Always a button to press. It’s great.

45-50 15 seconds to die ?, wtf… did you upgrade your gear ? lol xD

So far I’ve leveled shadow priest, rogue, Druid and now I’m leveling my warrior. I’m currently level 41 and been arms the entire time. I can confidently say that without a doubt arms warrior is by far the fastest and most pain less class to level. I’m trucking through every mob I encounter, hp bar full the entire time. You’re doing something very wrong if you are struggling
