When does Enhancement start to hit diminishing returns for mastery?

I think it’s something in the 5-6000 range, but don’t quote me on that.

Icy veins says this on the resto shaman guide:

These are the rating thresholds for the first tier of diminishing returns on each stat:

  • Critical Strike — 5400
  • Haste — 5100
  • Mastery — 5400
  • Versatility — 6150

Wowhead says first break point starts at 30 mastery POINTS and that each mastery point = 2% elemental damage. So, if enhance has 16% baseline + 2% x 30 = 76%.

Meaning that 76% mastery would be the first break point.

PvP mastery % will be alot higher than what you see standing around in Valdrakken though.

83.3% mastery can give you 100% WF chance apparently:

At roughly 83.3% increased Fire, Frost, and Nature damage, assuming Storm's Wrath Icon Storm’s Wrath is talented, your Windfury Weapon Icon Windfury Weapon will have a 100% proc rate inside Doom Winds Icon Doom Winds windows, and thus, additional Mastery no longer increases the strength of the cooldown. This, however, does not have a significant enough impact to change gearing strategies.
