Stuck at the bottom of the meters with the group I run with between hunter warlock and tank paladin. I’m level 32. The warlock dwarfs everyone in damage most of the time. I do less than the tank
Balance kills it at 50 and at 60 at the moment.

Build up your Astral Power, and use it on Starsurge when possible. Starsurge is going to be your biggest single target spell.

dont look at dps prior to lv 60. Anything below that and the scaling throws everything off.

Balance is very strong end game, broken damage in PvP. Early levels really don’t matter dps wise as you can steam roll content.
Casters, namely dot ones, struggle early levels as things die too fast. Once you get to Shadowlands and things start to curve you will have time to see your DPS more in line.

i wouldn’t put so much weight on DPS meters between levels 10 through 50: reason for this is because scaling is so bizarre that a level 10 will likely out-DPS you on meters with autoattacks if you’re level 30+ with all your fancy abilities
you’re probably doing fine damage just the scaling making it seem like you’re getting obliterated by noobz

At low levels damage output is wacked, you don’t have all your spells and stuff. Classes that get AoE spells\abilities early are going to win every time. Don’t worry about that sort of thing until hitting max level.

Yea it sucks to feel weak while leveling. Does it get better at max level? Well depends on the class. I know playing my dest lock its fun but in raid her damage is low on some bosses and ok on others.
Honestly most the low level damage numbers are pretty borked
Last I remember I was levelling with a few mates and the guy levelling a resto shammy destroyed everyone on dps meters
On the plus side you get a second, strong AoE in starfall at 34 so you’re close.
Considering that at low levels, Resto Shaman out dpses most DPS players…I wouldn’t worry too much about your damage numbers. Everything is going to die super fast at your level either way.
Like someone says above, scaling is all out of whack while leveling. Also, come to the realization that boomie is only strong with big pulls and cooldowns. Lots of other classes will pump more than you on smaller packs that dont live long.
Basically, you’re going to lose against bursty short cd classes with small packs.
Low levels aren’t balanced, pretty sure you’d do more aoe damage than most DPS specs just playing bear at that level.
Tbh unless you got a quest i wouldn’t even bother with dungeons for levelling. Just cruise to max, then you’ll get to enjoy what’s pretty much the most broken DPS spec in the game right now (top 3 anyway).
