They barely showed anything in their “features” vid at blizzcon, and spent most of their panels talking conceptually about what they were planning to do in the next xpac. This was only 2 months ago. Everything they’ve stated about Shadowlands sounds like they’re not even done with the development stages, let alone in house testing.
I wouldn’t expect a beta before Q4 this year at the earliest.

Hopefully soon. This forum and BFA are both driving me to insanity. I like the stuff Gameinformer has about SL and we need more of it.
they want to get us asap from bfa so my guess is may and september release of 9.0 with 9.1 a month later in october
Remember you have to actually “Opt In”, on the shadowlands page (to get in the beta.)
A little before June, maybe? If they rush it, a bit sooner.

Can anyone recall their 6-month stay subscribed desperation mount ploys in the past? Did they lead up to a beta or release? I think that may be the only clue we have been given.
I’m thinking maybe March or April.
If releases of other blizzard content is anything to go by I suspect it will release the same week of the spring/summer semester of school. Classic hit first week of fall semester, 8.3 hit first week of winter semester, beta first week of spring/summer semester.
After the limited information from blizzcon I feel they’re a little behind schedule.

Blizzard will release the expansion in august/September regardless of how much is finished. Quality releases has not been a thing on blizzards agenda in quite some time.
Yes they are behind but the fear is that they force an early release date.
Shadowlands should be an Oct/Nov release.
It’s not even quality they don’t have quantity developed. Regardless of your opinion they’re not going to release something still in the conceptual stage.

This is overly pessimistic. They wouldn’t set the placeholder as the end of 2020 if they weren’t expecting to have a beta ready before Q4.
I agree, but I do feel they’re far behind beta stage. I’d be shocked to see anything before July/August.
