When do you consider leaving a PUG M+ run?

You didn’t continue the run while someone rummaged through you’re house? Casul player. Seriously though, hope everything was alright.

Two scenarios for me when i was running…

Either its taken so long RL responsibilities are cropping up to be handled

Or the group calls it…

Otherwise, i’m stubborn.

Pretty much the only time I leave is if it turns out I’m carrying someone and the key doesn’t look doable. If the group is struggling but still trying, I’ll keep going; but if it’s not doable because on person in the group is very obviously so undergeared it’s making the key nearly unplayable, I’ll leave.

The group is full and no one is flying to the stone. Red flag

You mouse over the party portraits and everyone is from Rag. Red flag

That’s when you leave.

I leave when the group isn’t doing mechanics. I also leave if anyone starts getting nasty. I just don’t need to waste that time. It hasn’t been often that I have left a key. Usually I am more inclined to leave sooner if its my key this happens on.

That’s not what anyone said, but alright.

I don’t pug anymore, but when I did I would stay for as long as the keyholder did. This included occasionally completing a key a man down.

I leave right when the barrier lifts for the group to start.

Ideally after it’s completed and i’ve looted the Chest.

I don’t leave Pugs, Pugs leave me :frowning:

Sabbia the key destroyer

I don’t leave. Even if a dungeon is rough it’s fun to overcome the disadvantage. If you are the type to have a short fuse you should probably mention that to your group before you destroy someones key like that or only join groups listed with “fast run” or something in the title.

It varies greatly depending on my motivations for the run. Bear in mind none of this applies if the group committed beforehand to being a no-leaver: I do not break my word under any conditions.

Am I doing it for io? If it’s very early on and the key becomes untimeable, I’ll bail rather than throw good money after bad. Especially if it’s from something like a first boss wipe that wastes lust, or equivalent hard trash pull that fails to kill a single mob. After the halfway point I’m usually committed to finish it unless we simply encounter an obstacle the group can’t get past.

Helping a friend? I’m there until the friend gives up, no exceptions.

Gearing up? (Early season only) I’ll generally stick through to the end unless it’s abundantly clear the group is uniquely unqualified for the key. Chain wiping, repeated failures, etc. If a group is stuck on something, I’ll usually step in and break down the mechanic and explain why we’re failing and what we need to do better. If someone pulls while I’m explaining something, or tries to cut me off, I give a single, direct, very clear warning after which I immediately drop group. Can, will, and have done it on the final boss.

In virtually all circumstances, disrespect of any sort is a deal breaker and I’m gone.

I don’t leave. I’ll carry on until the dungeon is completed or the group has disbanded from other people leaving.

If people were kinder, more patient and more respectful in general, I don’t think I’d have reason to leave any key, save for RL concerns.

… But sadly that’s not the case.

I even left my own key earlier today, was only a King’s Rest 7+ but it was my alt shammy healer, me and the other 3 dps left actually, the tank was just terrible.

I don’t leave. I’ve had a few 4 man runs with people leaving.
Unless it doesn’t look we can complete the run at all I’ll stick it out.

When it seems like it won’t be possible to make it to the end. Or if things aren’t going well, and people have become agitated to the point that it no longer even feels worth being there.

Sure it was. I read between the lines.
