Last week we had fresh patron orders on Tuesday and I believe it was Saturday that we got a new round.
Right now I have 0 patron orders for Alchemy that provide any knowledge points and I’m not wasting alchemical concentrate to craft r3 phials.
Edit: Looks like Wednesday/Sunday.
I logged today hoping to see 7-8 patrons orders but i had 2.
i had the same idea about wednesday and sundays but it seems that it “resets” every 4 days. therefore with the reset of tomorrow thursday we should have 8 new patron orders then monday then friday then tuesday, etc etc
I haven’t seen any pattern at all. I’m still sitting at one (don’t have the pattern for it – why is that even a thing??) on a character I haven’t filled a patron order on since last weekend. 
I really would like some clarity from Blizzard on this. The crafting system information in the game is too vague. This is not exciting lore which needs a cliffhanger, it’s just a GAME SYSTEM. It needs it’s parameters spelled out… both IN GAME and NOT in RP-speak, please. (Though what we have now is slightly better than in Dragonflight.) I just would love to stop having to tab out to WoWhead for hours to try to figure out something I should be just told how it works.
i have had a really bad time filling patron orders with blacksmithing. why? i put all my knowledge in tools. so i can make any profression tool but i cant make a single weapon with crest so i can’t fill orders.
they should change the system so the patron orders ask receipes you already have or at leat receipes you will have if you continue puting knowledge in the same place
My problem with filling Patron Orders for BS is the giant price tag attached to most of them. Spending 40k for 30 AA just seems a little of to me.
However getting back to your original point, I had to spec into Missives for Inscription in order to complete Patron Orders because all I got was orders for Rank 3 Missives.
i havent gotten a new patron order in about a week. 0 new ones with reset this week. JC and BS.
It’s changed as we have went along. I was getting lots every Wednesday and Saturday. Now it’s very few.
I also question the catch ups that were supposedly added for professions, I have done every few BS Patron Orders for KP because they are so expensive. Yet I’m not getting double or triple the number of KP Patron Orders.
One trick I found is that you can send craft orders to your alts in order to fill out weekly patron quests.
We need transparency on how many and how often we are supposed to be getting these orders, right now it just feels super random, I just got 3 KP orders on a Thursday, like what?
Last week I got 6 on a Wednesday, then more on Sunday, but previous week I got them on Saturday, it’s INFURIATING how random this feels.
Also if an item has no quality, it should always include 100% of mats and any mat without quality should be included, paying 20k+ per KP IS NOT OK.

I did get a bunch today, except for two characters that were left out for some reason. Have to wait to see if this holds true and we get more on Monday.
Might be rng based. I had nothing yesterday and today I got 3 knowledge point ones.
Except I got 3 today instead of the usual 5-6 you get on reset, the amount is super random, also they EXPLICITLY said they would be on a bi-weekly rotation like DF WQs.
Speaking on that subject, can we please go back to bi-weekly WQs refresh as well, this random WQ reset is very annoying to get things done.
I have only gotten 1 patron work order this week for BS and 0 for JC… I have only been able to gain like 6 total KP this week
I get new patron orders everyday at at 7am PST. I get about 4 per profession on average but I have seen as many as like 9 or 10 sometimes.
They changed the patron order system since the expansion launch.
Before you used to get only 2 refreshes a week, but now you get them everyday.
i get the half-set of weekly patron orders for KPs every 4 days. I get 2-3 new orders every day - just for AA or a stat buff item. It’s been every 4 days for weeks now for me. It means each week you get orders for KPs on -
Wed-Sun
Thur-Mon
Fri-Tues
Saturday only.
ie One week in 4 you only get half the KP orders for that week - and the next week you will get an additional 1-2 orders for 1KP - the catch-up orders - sadly you don’t get enough catch up orders to replace the half a week orders you missed.
