why did we start this horrible trend in shadowlands? nobody wants to look at dull colors that only consist of browns, grays, and a pathetic shade of green. what happened to the fun and whimsical city hubs?

I actually really liked Vald. Layout felt organic and the different areas to suit the different aspects or whatever was neat. Lots of cool nooks and crannies. Kinda messy though; in that there was a lot of buildings clipping.
Oribos I instantly hated because the very first thing I noticed was that the floor was not aligned symmetrically. Very jarring considering the geometry of the place. Not to mention sterile. The ease of navigation didn’t carry it far.
Dalaran will always have a place in my heart.

Considering the second of those three is probably the best city we’ve gotten since Boralus in BFA… it really does elaborate how dull Dornogal and Oribos are.
We should’ve gotten Tazavesh as an actual zone the way we see it in the dungeon.
i really enjoyed zalandar and boralous those had so much life in them they were not afraid of colors

You must be seeing a different city, because Dorn is downright lovely, with a lot of little neat details scattered around. Especially when raining.
The city is a lot bigger than the few vendors you visit.
I’d settle for capital cities not being huge laggy messes but oh well I guess…people camp out there rather than do anything it seems and too many people in one area causes lag
I want that dang Oasis lounge, it’d be perfect for the RP tavern we do every Tuesday with a whole 1930’s jazzy speakeasy theme.
For now I just use the Falling Water place. Really hope we get a good comparable casino area or something in Undermine.

Valdrakken was absolutely amazing. Slap them graphics to 10 and kick it in rainbow dragon heaven.
I’m sure next expac we’ll have a pretty, elaborately huge and sprawling city hub again that will generate the same complaints about Dorn and Oribos being boring and easy to navigate because its too big and complicated.

Did we play the same game? I had a HARD TIME navigating oribos i’d always be unable to find the profession area id always run past it at least 3 timesx

Naw. The inn and bank were dead ahead, pvp and upgrade guys on the right. Flight paths up the elevator, walky walky burny zone down the zoom hole.

It was a circle. Ffs if you just kept walking you’d eventually find whatever guy you needed, unless you went straight and walked off a ledge.
Yeah. Go past the zoomy hole and the inn was right there and the bank next to it.
I wonder how many people actually explore Dornagol. If you haven’t, you should! You can find big fat cats you can try to pick up laying around, tunnels that lead to secret inns with notable npcs in it, a hot spring spa… so many little things.
