Wrath of the Lich King was the end of a lot of great story arcs, though some died in Burning Crusade, even.
I mean, WoD wasn’t bad when self-contained. The worst part about it was how Garrosh and Grommash were handled, but then what they did with the Mag’har orcs and “Lightbound” really has no connection. It’s pretty wtf how much Yrel has changed, and the Naaru haven’t been tied in, yet. It feels like the Naaru we knew in BC were retconned completely in Legion.
Blizzard seems good at making isolated stories, but doesn’t do well with the grander arcs. Suramar was great! The bulk of Legion and how it transitioned into BFA did not. The Zandalar were great. Now, step back and look at what the Alliance did in the beginning, and then again in Battle of Dazar’alor. lolwtf
That’s how I feel, anyway.
