I remember that at the start of BfA scaling was a thing and pvp felt way more balanced because of it for all players.
I returned recently only to find out ridiculous disparities between players who are geared and those who arent. Hell now i wonder why anyone with 130k health would even bother queing for anything since he is gonna get deleted.
I remember noob pvers crying that they died in warmode against someone that had low health so i assume they caved to these noobs so they brought back the terrible system where gear>>>>>>everything?
bads with terrible gear should get destroyed.

3-4 months ago I can remember ganking players as a 120 geared well enough and fighting 114-116 and depending on class you could have your hands full, because of scaling, and player ability.
No one really knows how Blizzards number crunching works but I’m betting the gear disparity, essences, is just too much now. Players who are gearing now will get destroyed and eventually get better gear and destroy others. There has to be some advantage to players who have played the expansion since launch compared to someone just jumping in.

At the start of BFA, the difference between top level gear and new 120 gear was less than 100 ilvl. Now, it’s close to 200 ilvl. That gear difference has overwhelmed the scaling.

It’s a progression based game … people with low gear should be at a disadvantage.
Scaling is the worst thing ever introduced

PvE crowd is only used to fighting with bots what they call boss which has predictable moves. They get thrown off in PvP when other players don’t go as per their ‘rotation’. So they need plenty of room to get back their rotation. Hence the disparity.
“There has to be some advantage to players who have played the expansion since launch compared to someone just jumping in.”
Yeah. It’s called skill.

Wasn’t nerfed so much as they just gave up.
So you believe that people who have not invested time or effort into developing their toon should just show up and be on par with people who have? Sounds pretty narcissistic and entitled to me.
People who devote their time and energy for their preferred endgame should absolutely dominate their content.
However, strictly PvE players shouldn’t bre able to dominate PvP with their PvE gear, and vice versa.
If blizzard would simply reimplement PvPcentric stats like 90% of the gearing complaints would vanish.

Good thing they don’t. The mix of pve/pvp players do, sure.

On my blood dk in a mix of conquest and benthic with ~410k hp faced off against a mythic 10 geared blood DK with just over 600k hp.
You tell me how you think that fight played out.

Depends how well you and him played.

Simple, if you spend time you are supposed to develop your skills, timing and know how your class works and those skills are the advantages you have over someone who is just starting.
But I guess bads who get carried and SOMEHOW spend months playing and still not knowing how to play their class should get an advantage too because clearly skill shouldn’t matter, it is how much time someone throws at something, something that can be done by the even the dumbest and most unworthy people, but I guess bads need to avoid feeling terrible somehow, need to avoid ‘reality’
Scaling is still op when 110 can kill 120
Also skill is the determing factor but gear is important
Most that have been beat cling on to any reason to blame anything but being outplayed

It’s what I thought till 8.2 dropped and all the mythic raiders came into BG ‘s and blew everyone away
