When did Blizz remove misdirect glyph?

So just started playing hunter again, and there is no glyph anymore to reset misdirect when used on your pet?

When was this removed? Is there any substitute?

It was removed in Legion, and there is no substitute.

Pet Growl is an actual taunt now, for what it’s worth.

Awww thats a bummer. Wonder why they removed it? It was nice to be able to control the aggro on your pet.

They removed all functional glyphs after WoD and made them cosmetic only.

It’s trivially easy to get your pet to hold threat now. You’ll do fine.

In single target, or as BM, sure.

Good luck getting AoE pulls to stick to an MM pet though.

Yeah, BM has a big advantage there, because Multi-Shot triggers Beast Cleave, so you can pretty easily get all the targets to stick to your pet. With MM, I do tie my AoE pulls to Misdirect cooldowns.

Glyph of distracting shot: Your Distracting Shot now distracts the target to attack your pet instead of you.
Removed with Patch 7.0.3 pre-expansion patch for Legion expac.

Pet taunt doesn’t work against Raid bosses, even outdated/solo raids. It’s not useful versus AOE packs either. Current iteration of Misdirect isn’t all that good anyways, the short window and the time-limit on the threat doesn’t provide enough threat to hold groups.
